BJ is about the same this morning. They have decided to leave him on his tummy for at least 20 hours. He has had some bleeding from around the neck catheter. They had it stopped a couple times, but then doing x-rays or other routine procedures starts it again.

He continues to need blood products, and his temp remains low, so he still has the "Bair Hug" (yes that is the correct spelling) over him, around him...it really looks like 2 people are in that bed. As long as it works!

I don't know of any procedures today...that will be nice.

His Sat's (blood oxygenation percentage) remain in the 90's, and his other gases are stable for now.

Lord Jesus, we look to You for a healing time, for the swelling to go down, for the bleeding to stop, and for the staff to be encouraged spiritually, and mentally, today.

BJ's dad

1 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.
2 The LORD will protect him and preserve his life;
he will bless him in the land
and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed
and restore him from his bed of illness.

Lord God, yet another day we come before your throne for our brother BJ. We pray collectively as the Body of Christ that you heal our dear brother BJ. Please surround BJ and his family with a renewed sense of your peace and healing power. Touch his kidneys and bring new life to them. Protect BJ from any further complications this day. Show those of us who love him how we may be of service and support to the family. We claim complete and total victory over the evil one without exception. In the name of Yahshua, Jesus, our Lord and Savior we pray....Amen

May the words of this hymn minister to you all this morning...we love you..Phil & Paula

Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

"Let not your heart be troubled," His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Lord Jesus, I love You. I thank You for a day without procedures for BJ. I thank You for Your awesome grace. Lord, I pray that You would wrap Your arms of love around BJ and his family. Continue to strengthen and encourage them. Father, we have seen so many miracles throughout the last month, and we know that You are working! We will continue to give You all the praise and glory for Your awesome works! Amen.

I see the first comment on this page (from a spammer) and my first thought is, "how crass!" But, then the Lord reminds me that this is just evidence of a world full of people who need to know Him and His love.

Ouch. Don't you just love it when God does that? God's reminder to me makes me think of BJ and his heart for the lost. Perhaps even this web site will bring people to the Lord!! GO GOD!!!

Good morning!
I am so thankful for a relatively uneventful night. There really are two in BJ's bed... his Heavenly Father is right there holding him close.

Father, may today be calm and a day of rest for all the Higgins family. Lord please be with the medical staff as they minister to BJ with your hands of compassion and your wisdom. May his body respond appropriately to all interventions. Plese raise his temperature, prevent further bleeding, and cause his kidneys to work completely so that the excess fluid will be drained off and his body experience relief. May his body adjust well to the "turning" and please heal the bed sores and incission sites rapidly and prevent any further bleeding and infections. Give the doctors knowledge of the unknown mass in BJ's lung so that it can be removed and prevented from returning allowing his lung to work properly again.

Lord, please be with little Jayden's family during this difficult time and help them to be surrounded with your love and grace.

Thank you, Father, that we can come to you asking for your divine help and you are so quick to respond. Thank you again for your love, grace and protection over all the Higgins family.
In the Name of Jesus your Son we ask all these things believing.

Bow before the Prince of peace
Let the noise and clamor cease
Be still

Be still and know that He is faithful
Consider all that he has done
Stand in awe and be amazed
And know that He will never change
Be still

Be still and know that he is God
Be still and know he is our Father
Come rest your head upon his breast
Listen to the rhythm of his unfailing heart of love

Our God is an awesome God he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love our God is an awesome God

We sang that song last night at BCM and it just reminded me so much that our God is awesome. He has ultimate wisdom and power over everything. Everything is in his hands, including BJ. He loves us unconditionally, even though we are all sinners; he desires an intimate relationship with us. BJ has that...

Still praying for y'all and the medical staff! I ordered a prayforbj.com t-shirt last night... A pink one (in honor of BJ ô¿ô)!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I appreciate all the thoughts about the helpful and encouraging staff. It's nice to put names to them and to pray for them by name.They are special people that can minister to physical needs, I admire them for that. I was so touched to hear about Whitney singing to BJ, that song lifted my spitits.Music is so special. There are so many times God will reveal a song to me to minister to me, that speaks just the words I need to hear. I love reading the scriptures that people write that are from God. I'm thrilled to know that BJ is on a lower bed and you can get close to him easier. I know he can feel so very loved and cared for.As you go through this day I know you will see God Working again and again, as He has and will continue to do so! Thanks for sharing about Jayden and the newborn,our prayers go out to them too. It was such a blessing to be able to worship with Northside, Brent, Whitney and Lauren, to praise God and be encouraged. May God fill your hearts with His peacful presence,and may BJ continue to make progress. Love and prayers to all!
