Late tonight, BJ's blood gases continue to improve a little bit. We are very thankful for this. His SAT's are consistently in the upper 80's to low 90's.
He did start to run a fever, but we believe that is under control. It is very important he not come down with more infection or issues at this stage.
We know and appreciate the incredible prayer support you have offered up. We know there are many more of you who are not blogging, who are praying. This has been a most humbling experience in so many ways. The way God has moved in your hearts and not allowed BJ to leave your minds, and how He has kept you praying...unbelievable!
The medical technology which has supported and kept my son alive to this point...astounding!! The medical staff...Unequaled!!! Through the combination of these efforts which we know the Lord has orchestrated, and used, we are moved, appreciative, and eternally grateful.
Please know that regardless of the outcome, the Father has enriched our lives through you...

I live in WA and I got your prayer request through a Mercy Me email. I have been praying for BJ, and my husband is praying for BJ. He has been on my heart since I found out about BJ. Please know that BJ is being lifted up before the Father by so many people. God is a God of Miracles!!!!!! We will continue to pray for healing, and also for patience and endurance for your family. All Glory be to God. Lean on His understanding, not your own. This can be hard to do sometimes. BJ is loved by many who don't know even know him and who have not met him. But most of all, he is loved by Jesus, who knows BJ intimately. Father- please bring a miracle for BJ. Bring him a miraculous healing that will bring so much glory to you, Lord. Encourage BJ's family and hold them during this time. Provide Your wisdom for the doctors and nurses. Lord, give the family endurance and strength to go on each day.

Hi from San Diego! Walker called me this afternoon to update me on BJ since I do not have web access at home! I was in a Servant Evangelism class all day and out picking up trash in the neighborhood so I got the call and was able to tell the whole room of about 60 people about BJ. They are all praying! I am praying and crying out for you all and trusting in God's AMAZING plan for this young man! May I tell you - I have been in tears because I feel like this is my little brother (my little sister is 15, too). The Lord WILL be magnified and GLORIFIED through you all in this situation and I praise Him for you! I wish I could be there to just SERVE you ... wash your feet, get ya'll some coffee, take care of your house duties, and pray over you - Maybe some crazy day the Lord will bring us all together because of this ONE PURPOSE! BJ's Dad, don't give up! I live in Denton, TX and I am praying for your son; heard about him through Mercy Me sending out an email on BJ's behalf. I know this has been a very difficult time for your whole family; but, don't give up. Let the Lord move in this situation according to His will and to the glory of His Name. I want to thank you for sharing portions of your son's journal with us; it's obvious from the journal that BJ really loves Lord Jesus. Here is my prayer for you, your family, and especially BJ:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, Your only begotten Son, I lift up to you Brent Higgins, Jr. and ask that Your will be done. I stand in agreement with my brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord and it is our desire to see BJ healed and restored to good health here in this life; to see BJ grow into the man of God You have called him to become; to see him pursue You throughout his life here on earth as he glorifies Your Name by trusting and obeying You in all things. The Lord has chosen this child to touch the lives of so many people in this world. Although at times it is heartbreaking for the family to go through the trials, the Lord will bless them abundantly for their faithfulness to him. Even though I have never met this family you have been an encouragement for me just to hear the trust and faith you have and how you continue to let the Lord's will be done. I pray that you all will have peace and understanding.
Lord, I ask you to wrap your loving arms around this family tonight. Bring them peace where there is turmoil, bring them hope where there is doubt. Lord, we know that You are in control. It is amazing to see how many people have been awakened at all hours with BJ on their hearts. I also could not sleep and began thinking, I wonder how BJ is, so I got up to see if there was a posting.
