Dear Precious Higgins Family,

CALL FOR THE ELDERS NOW!!!

James 5:14-16
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

As my child lay sick and faced death, my one plea was for James 5:13-16 to be followed word for word. Humble pastors praying, anointing with oil and confessing their sins one to another that Melissa may be healed. The point isn’t the oil or even the prayer but the faith of holy men willing to lay down their pride and confess their sins out loud to one another – then healing takes place.

I am praying continually for BJ and all of you. You are in my heart and I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus!

To God be the Glory,

to bj
BJ we have heard of your triumphs and success and we have heard of your troubles and sickness and it brings us joy to see that in all of these the common end is the glory of your God. You haven't chosen what God have given to you and taken from you, but your heart continues to say "Blessed be His name." It is this focus that will sustain you during this time and keep you until your Father takes you home. Though in different ways, many here are suffering with you for the sake of our Lord. "For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows." 2 Corinthians 1:5 our comfort is in Him and His love for us. Psalms 62:3,4 Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

This life is so short little brother, so bless Him as long as you live.
Let your joy in suffering show this world where you find satisfactioin.
We continue to pray for you the family and friends. We may not see you here but we are only a vapor away from eternity together with our God and King. May grace and peace abound.

Jesus - You are the biggest - the best. I am reminded of a simple and sweet children's song - "My God is so big, so strong and so mighty. There's nothing my God can not do." How true are the words that the children sing...Oh Jesus, please heal BJ's body. Wrap your arms around him right now as I type. Strengthen Brent & Deanna - put a hedge of protection around them and show them your hope, love and comfort. I love you. Amen.

Oh how my heart goes out to you guys during this trying time. I pray Lord God that you comfort the family as only you can do right now. Bring them peace, hope and please dear Lord help the doctors to know what procedures to do immediately to help BJ. I know the whole staff and the family have to be exhausted so we pray for strength for all of them. Lord, if it be your will, we ask that you help and guide the doctors to find out what the infection is in BJ's body and treat it as soon as possible. This young man has suffered and witnessed for you O Lord in a mighty way, please bring them all comfort. We are praying for you in Santa Claus,
