BJ's gasses were taken at 4 and they remain about the same. A "wound vaccuum" arrived today, which will be placed over his wound from the infection they recently removed. This machine will keep the area clean without the dressing being changed daily. They tried to attach it today, but were unable to make it seal, so they will let it further heal tonight and put it in place tomorrow morning.

As always, thank you for your perseverance in your prayers. We are moved by them, and strengthened by knowing that our Family reaches far across the world.

Love in Christ,
Lauren

(By the way, Tammy H.- last week I ended up getting that airplane puzzle done about 2 minutes after you left!)

Dear Higgins Family,
I have looked in on your family for over a month, and have prayed for BJ and for all of you. The Higgins family has become a city set on a hill. I was privileged to share BJ's story with my Sunday School class of 11th grade girls at San Antonio First Baptist Church, we prayed for you all this morning, and we continue to share your burden. May many come to know our Lord, and then take the gospel to the whole world, as a result of the Higgins family's faithfulness: so that every tribe and every tongue would come to know Him. Though we have never met, we send our love from San Antonio, Texas.

Higgins family, none of you know me, but my mom works with uncle rich at operation blessing. Anyway, I've been following your story, and I've been blessed beyond measure by the testimony of your ENTIRE family. I think of BJ and how full of love and Christ he is, and I want to live a life like he leads! He seems like a real-life, live-for-the-moment, Christ-centered reason for living! Our lives and time are so precious, and our job here on earth is to make every moment count as we give God all the glory. I never truly got this until I got so emotionally involved with all you strangers! The other night I was unable to check BJ's status, and I just could not sleep, so I just prayed and prayed. And God just broke my heart...broke it for Him. To live for Him, and to live each day in the light of His Love, and to see my family as my mission field/act of service! God has broken my heart and called me to many things because of you and your child. I am so thankful for "meeting BJ," and I yearn for him to continue in the service of our great Lord. Also, for your love and faith, you are to be commended by me, and blessed by God I am sure! Thank you so much for raising BJ and allowing him to serve the Lord on the mission field. My wife is currently pregnant, and I can only hope that we raise a BJ! And I can only hope that I'll hold fast to Christ in all things, as you all have, in the face of any adversity that may come to my future child. I try mostly to post encouraging bible passages here, but I just wanted to speak from my heart to let you know how much I love God for showing and leading me and my family to BJ's story, to your family, and to this blog. I am so thankful for this example you all have set. Know that there are a ton of people here praying for ALL of you, even though we don't all get a chance to post. Jonah 2.

I am a teacher at Union Elementary. I check BJ's blog daily and am so grateful for the tiny miracles I read about each day. My family and I are members of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. My church and my family are keeping all of you in our prayers.
A young member of our church and a close friend of ours was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in April. Through God's grace and the prayers of people all over the world (Katy also had a blogspot,)
miraculous healing has come to her.
We will continue to pray for miracles for BJ.

Continuing to pray!! I am making a web site for my web design class and I added a link to this site on my page, and now some people in my class are praying for you!!

BJ, I have learned more from you being here in FL than I think I did all summer in IN. I'm seeing now what it truly means to suffer for the name of Christ. I know that God is glorified in you, because you are most satisfied in him. I am praying for a miracle, because I know God still performs miracles. I pray that God will heal you, but His will be done. "Thy will be done here on earth as it is in heaven." That is my prayer... Have a good night BJ!

Precious Family, we are praising Jesus with you! We know that He sustains life and is good. We have victory, we have peace, because no matter when the transition is made, we know that BJ's life will be sustained for eternity. I started typing out the whole chapter of 2 Corinthians 4 for you, but I think this one verse will be enough. "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed." I remembered that verse because BJ sang it in a song almost daily in Peru. I have a picture that shows him singing it that I am sending to you. His mercies are new every morning, and I pray that this night is full of rest and HEALING.
Love and grace on you all,

You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all

When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry you fill my cup

Worthy is your name.
Jesus Lamb of God,
Worthy is Your name.

Brent Deanna, Whitney and Lauren a pastor friend of mine shared with me many years ago this thought.
You will not realize that Jesus is all you need until, Jesus is all you have...but once you arrive at the point where Jesus IS all you have then you will know without doubt that Jesus is all you need.

The doctors have done their part and praise Yahweh for them. But now we are about to see God work in a new and miraculous way.

Hey Body of Christ.....are we ready for a MIracle????? If so say Amen.

Before anyones head hits the pillow let's not just ask God for a miracle, but thank Him for it. (Ask believing)Maybe we need to set our alarm clocks and pray on the hour and the half hour tonight non-stop making our hearts request known to God.

I am believing God for a Miracle starting tonight. May the Holy Spirit move in and through BJ's body renewing each cell each muscle, bone and organ, wiping out every trace of infection. Tomorrow may BJ turn the corner and come back to us...and all God's people said.....AMEN......We love you with an Agape love......Phil & Paula

Dear Lord,

We pray for significant progress in BJ's condition tonight. We praise You and thank You for hearing our prayers. Please continue to provide encouragement and strength to BJ's family and caregivers. They have been through a long journey. We praise you for being with them and providing all their needs. I specifically ask that BJ is able to open his eyes tomorrow morning and respond to his mom and dad. May your light continue to shine brightly in Room 2001. I pray that tonight that it shines so bright that all those who enter not only pray for a miracle but fully expect that a miracle will occur.

Amen

Thankful to see an improvement, even if it is small. I am glad they ordered a wound vac. You will be amazed at how fast those can work. I have used them several times on my home care pts. It is a neat little device. We continue to pray for God's will with BJ, we pray that it is His plan for BJ to recover so he can continue the work he started. We continue to pray for all of you as you go through this uncertain time. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers at all times.
