Still in surgery: BJ is doing well, his vitals are fine. Right now, two of the surgeons are putting a filter in the bad vein in his leg (to keep potential blood clots from going to his heart or lungs). A third surgeon is working to remove the cannulae in his neck and hopes to replace it with a catheter for BJ's dialysis.

BJ spent 5 weeks on a mission trip in Peru spreading the love of Jesus. A few weeks after returning home he was diagnosed with pneumonia, which quickly turned much more serious and became the lesser concern as an infection throughout his body was discovered. After six weeks of fighting, Beej finally got to go Home to be with Jesus on September 26th, 2005. Thank you for your prayers for BJ, and please continue unifying as God's children as we have seen throughout this God-glorifying situation!!! Our God is so BIG. He is there in the operating room and He's dealing with Jayden, and He's ministering to the people on the Gulf Coast and He's with our service men and women in Iraq....and He is in control. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am the one who gets overwhelmed....not God.
Thank you Father for the good report on BJ. I just pray that these surgeons will have a sense that they are a part of something extraordinary, something miraculous. I pray that the filter goes in smoothly so there is no danger of blood clots. I ask you to keep BJ's body strong enough to deal with everything that's being removed and inserted and moved around. Please just continue to glorify yourself in this situation and then I humbly ask you to spread this wonderful power to little Jayden. Let his family see what You can do.
