We are home and safe!!! What an unbelievable journey we have had! We have reassembled as teams who have spent our summers all over the world. God reigns, and is present with us as we worship Him, and spend time in debriefing preparing hearts for their return to this culture, which is much harder than you might think.
While away, we have not been able to read this site or e-mail, so we have much catching up to do. For security reasons, we could not open messages or visit web-sites that could compromise our trip or our the missionaries we worked with. The government there reads all of our messages once opened, and monitors our web visits, and all of our activity. We had "national police" (their version of the FBI) following us and sleeping in the same quarters we slept in. It was a bit unsettling to say the least.
We will share much more as we have time. For now, thank you so much for the prayer support. We would not have survived without it. The spiritual darkness and oppression was so severe that just waking some days and feeling like you could face the world was an enormous effort, and had to be prayed through. Your support has been a huge blessing. I cannot wait to share more.
I love you,
dad

Brent, Deanna, Lauren, and Whitney--
So glad to her that you are back home safely. We have been praying for you and are so excited to hear about what God has done both in your lives and in the lives of the people that were blessed by you!
Know that we continue to pray for the adjustments that will come as you get used to life back in America again. I know firsthand how hard this is... but I am grateful for opportunities to go abroad and realize how blessed I am here.
We love you. We miss you... and we are praying!

Dear All,
Praise God for a safe return and continued prayers as you all readjust, and may God continued to be blessed as you share your journey with us and others.
Brad, thank you for continuing to update in their absence. This site has become my daily devotional in the morning and it truly fills my heart with an overwhelming sense of God's presence.
Blessings on you all and to this blog family.

Welcome "home" Higgins Family!
I only wish it were here in Indiana, but God knows where you should be. I am so glad everything went well, and can't wait to here about your trip. I prayed for you and your group daily as I would keep up with Brad's writings (He did a wonderful job, by the way!)
I hope to see you all soon.
Take Care.
May God Bless you all!
Love, Your Friend,
Matt

Wow! The same Awesome Yahweh who created the Heavens and the earth traveled with you each step of the way. With all the darkness there was not one step that was not watched over by our great God. I have no doubts that you left many seeds.
This is but the first of many journeys the Lord has for you. The important thing to remember is first...."ALL Power and Authority in Heaven and on earth have been given unto Our Lord, THEREFORE.GO
GO.............GO into ALL the World.
You acted in obedience to His command and I believe beyond all doubt that you will see fruit more than you wildest imagination.
Paula and I understand and love you with an everlasting LOVE!
Welcome home family! You have been missed and we are so blessed to know all is well. Brad was such a blessing, and we pray we will still hear from him too. God bless you as you settle back in.

I wanted to give a quick praise update on Hollie for those of you who have joined with me in prayer.
We took her back to the school last Wednesday and the meeting with the staff and the house parents went extremely well. Both Kevin and I felt strongly that the Lord desired that she remain with her current house parents and we had a real peace about the decission. Praise God, Hollie was able to see the desire of God's heart for her.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with us in prayer, your prayers have been very much appreciated and felt.
On a different note Kevin and I were licensed as ministers on Sunday. I thank the Lord for the job He has entrusted to both Kevin and I and our prayer is that we would always bring glory and honor to His wonderful name.
In His Love
Linda
