Beej and Whitney in Colorado

Thank you so much to those of you who continue to check in here from time to time. You mean a great deal to us and this journey would have been far more difficult without you!

We are together today, and thankful. We are remembering, and grateful. I honestly do not have words to express myself today, and will just leave it simple.

God bless each of you on this day! Family that we are not with, we miss you tremeandously! We hope to see you soon.

Enjoy your day! We are planning to enjoy our time honoring and remembering!

BJ's story touched me immensely and I check in on your blog every time I go online just to read your posts and reflections on living life for Christ, our Lord & Saviour, so that we too might one day be with Him. Today my heart breaks again for you as you miss BJ...with arms so full of the love of God for all people of the world. What a great day to remember the joy of eternity that BJ is sharing in with our Lord. My prayers are with you all that God gives you peace today, and covers you with His wings so that the pain is eased as you know the countless people BJ's story has inspired, convicted, changed, brought to Christ. Thats what it is all about.

Your son continues to witness...how awesome is that? To be used so mightily by our Lord, so willingly, serves as a reminder to everyone else...oh, that we should be so bold!

May God hold you especially close today.

Thinking of you all today with love & prayers! I have had a patient in the Monrovia area & pass by your old place to go to visit her. I always check out the "BJ tree"! (While trying not to wreck my car on the curve!) It looks beautiful! Hope you all have a wonderful time together today with precious memories! Your family is so wonderful & we miss you guys here in Indiana!

I've been thinking of you all this week and especially today as you remember BJ, something I know that you do every single day. I cannot fathom your loss and how much you miss him every moment of every day. We are glad to see that Whitney is home and that you all will be together as a family. Please let us know if you all need anything. Our desire and prayer is that the Lord will fill you with HIS presence and peace, and that today you can reflect on all the wonderful memories and times you had with BJ.

We love you guys, we are thinking of and praying for you today.

I was looking back on the one of the old message boards we had:

BJ's post:
I don't respect lies. I'll love and be nice to liars, but I don't respect lies.

Ryan G.'s post:
Dude, how can you even connect respect and believing to where people can get the two confused? Respect-You don't get on people's case and badmouth them for their differences or values. Believing- Well, believing.

BJ's response
I won't badmouth them, but even with that definition of respect, i'll "get in their face" and try to show them the truth and tell them that they're living in a lie...as nicely as possible, of course....otherwise they'd just go to hell....and no one should have to do that since its so easy to get to heaven

I would have commented yesterday, but I had no time.
I jsut wanted to say I prayed like crazy. I can only imagine what you guys must have been going through. I feel heartbroken for you. All I can really say is that I may not have lost someone as close as a brother or sister, I can still understand your pain. I thought of you and even BJ all day yesterday. Especially when I was just sitting and contemplating something, my mind turned to the date, the 26th, and I wanted to cringe. Now October is just around the corner. But that's really not the point. I'm so sorry for you all.
May God Bless you in the days ahead, and I'm still praying, even when my mind feels like focusing on other things. God hears you and us all.
When only the gap grows larger in time, God heals the hole in our hearts over time. God Bless.
Amor, Leslie
