BJ spent 5 weeks on a mission trip in Peru spreading the love of Jesus. A few weeks after returning home he was diagnosed with pneumonia, which quickly turned much more serious and became the lesser concern as an infection throughout his body was discovered. After six weeks of fighting, Beej finally got to go Home to be with Jesus on September 26th, 2005. Thank you for your prayers for BJ, and please continue unifying as God's children as we have seen throughout this God-glorifying situation!!! And the tears keep rolling... happy birthday to you, BJ. After Jesus and all those other awesome bible dudes, you're the next guy I want to meet when I get to heaven. (And I don't mean that disrepectfully, because you line up right along with them!!) Your story is changing my own children. What an inspiration you are!
Wow! we sure wish we were there with you. I know it is a bitter sweet time. We are so thankful for BJ's life and knowing he is celebrating in Heaven We are glad you can be together as a family. Love all of you.

Happy Birthday BJ! I just finished reading the book today, & was thinking, today he would be the same age as me, only 4 months younger! This book really has changed my thoughts, I even started a blogspot. Thanks for everything BJ! & Most of all, Thank You God!! God bless you all!!
First, Happy Birthday BJ!
I heard Ashfin Ziafat speak on September the 10th in Moore, OK at Momentum[a one night retreat for all the BCM's(Baptists Collegiate Ministries) in Oklahoma]. He mentioned BJ's story and the name of the book and I wrote it down. The next day I ordered it on Amazon and yesterday I finally received it. I could not put it down and this morning I finished it. God has used his life in the past 24 hours to show me the kind of life he wants us to live, one for Him. I am going on a mission trip in December to China and I have been praying to God to reveal how to be a good missionary for Him. He showed me through BJ's life.
Thank you for bringing his story to thousands of people including me.
Ya'll are an inspiration to me!
