Faithful Servants,

BJ continued to remain stable through the night. The medical staff have turned the ventilator down to 50% (was between 90-100 for much of his stay), and the nitric oxide down to 20%, and his oxygen saturation has remained in the mid 80's. All reasons to Praise Jesus!!!!

He will have another procedure today to drain fluid on the other side of his abdomen. Please continue to pray him through. We are ever indebted to our brothers and sisters in Christ! Medical staff remind us that we will be here for weeks longer, and that more complications will arise. We trust the Lord to see him through.

We cannot wait until BJ is able to read the posts on this site himself. You all are such a huuuge blessing!

Muchas gracias Tito!

My prayers are with BJ and ALSO for his parents. You are true testimonies in your unwavering love for Jesus throughout this ordeal. Your pain must be so intense right now; can you imagine Jesus' pain for BJ also? We cannot fathom the love He has for BJ. I pray for you continuously. Love,

Morning Jesus,

I have some friends
That need Your help,
Their son and brother's real sick.
I'm sure that you've heard
Many prayers for him
We're counting on you for the fix.

BJ has yielded
His life up for you,
In return, he's asked for naught,
With a broken spirit,
And a contrite heart
Your will with great zeal he has sought.

This side of heaven
We struggle to see
Why such trials befall one like him.
We're reminded of Job
At the end of the day,
How Your blessings overflowed to the brim.

As soveriegn God
You choose his fate,
Romans tells us it's all for good.
We ask in our flesh
And selfishness,
Please spare him for us if You would.

There are so many things
That BJ can do,
To spread the good news of Your Name.
Deliver him now
From this awful disease,
You know he'll bring You all the fame.

Just one more thing,
I ask of you, Lord.
Mom, Dad and the girls need you, too.
They've spent so much strength
In a draining place,
Help them to draw what they need right from You.

Help them to feel
Your presence so near,
And help us to know what to say,
To calm their fears,
Their worries soothe,
All this in Your Sweet Name I pray.

Amen

My prayers are with BJ. I can't believe something that severe could happen when he's doing something so awesome. He's a servant of God and I believe it's part of his plan for him to go through this and survive. I've gone through similar things and come out of them a better person and stronger for christ. God Bless and I hope you get well soon.

Brent, Deanna, Lauren, Whitney, and BJ,

Just wanted to pass on some messages that I have received in reply to some e-mails I have sent out.

 From Canada, Karen writes: I will pray for BJ and your family as you go thru your trials too. I am glad God is bigger. My prayers are with all today. In Christ, Karen

 Praying much for you and the families! We have experienced the mighty power of God's people through prayer this year, and we KNOW that there is nothing that can compare. Know that you are certainly in our prayers!

 Thank you for sharing your heart and concerns with us who care about you. We don’t understand the “whys”, but we certainly can lean on the One who has the answers. From Wesleyan Women:

Julia has kept us up on your cousin’s son. We had special prayer for him this morning during our office prayer time. It is hard to watch someone you love suffer. We are interested in his progress, and we will look forward to keeping informed.

With love and prayers,
Martha Blackburn, Director Wesleyan Women

Wesleyan Women sent out the prayer request to some churches and received the following:

Our Dear Heavenly Father,

We need you so badly every day and our hearts are turned to you, the awesome creator of the universe. You are always very near to those who call upon your Holy Name. We have a heavy burden for you take off our shoulders today, Lord. We will be anxious in nothing, but by prayer and supplication with much thanksgiving give them all to you knowing the peace of God that passes all understanding will be ours through Jesus Christ our Lord, our Savior and Healer. We plead the blood of Jesus over every person and circumstance. We ask you to release many angels to minister to and protect every soul. We ask your purposes be done in all supplications.

Father, you know the serious condition of B.J., but we know who you are--you are our Healer, our Jehovah Rapha, so we ask in agreement that you heal B.J. to your glory and praise. In Jesus name this affliction is rebuked and cast down, and healing is loosed in him and we expect a quick recovery. Nothing is impossible with you. We ask for your care over the whole family as they suffer along with him. May their faith be boosted by reading your healing promises in your Word, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Your Word is living, it's alive, and angels hearken to it. They are attentive the God's Word and stand ready to swoop down and accomplish what God wants done!

You are our hope, the help and health of our countenance. We don't have to despair or worry because you now have these concerns and are answering in awesome ways. Thank you Father, thank you so much. In Jesus' name, amen.

Another message to pass on:

Thank you for your update and sharing your very heavy prayer concerns! I will be joining with you in praying for them as I'm able.

The words to "I Found the Answer" have ministered to me greatly this last week. May it speak to you too. Love ya! Nancy

I FOUND THE ANSWER
I was weak and weary
I had gone astray
Walking in the darkness
I couldn't find my way
Then a light came shining
To lead me from despair
All my sins forgiven
And I was freed from care

I found the answer
I learned to pray
With faith to guide me
I found my way
The sun is shining
For me each day
I found the answer
I learned to pray

I was sad and lonely
All my hopes were gone
Days were long and dreary
I couldn’t carry on
Then I found the courage
To keep my head up high
Once again I'm happy
And here's the reason why

I found the answer
I learned to pray
With faith to guide me
I found my way
The sun is shining
For me each day
I found the answer
I learned to pray

I have two friends here in Trujillo (Peru) at different churches and they are keeping me informed with all that is happenning with BJ, until one of the shared with me this page. I just want let you all know that I'm praying for BJ, for our Heavenly Father may restore his health and using him more and more for His glory, in the same way as I saw BJ working here sharing Jesus with my people. I pray for the L-rd for his family and tell them that this trial of G-d will be for good at last because you will be strong in Him. my favorite verses for you: Rom.8:28 and Jer.29:11. in Christ

17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,
20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

22 AND GOD PLACED ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,

23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

"This situation may be over my head, BUT IT'S UNDER HIS FEET!!" Hallelujah!

I don't think BJ realized that he was such a large impact in my life, but I learned a lot from him and pray that he will get well soon and that we will continue being friends when this is all sorted out.

In Matt. 21:22, Jesus says, "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

This is also true in BJ's case, if we pray he will be blessed and healed through the power of God. So lets keep BJ in our prayers and he will receive the healing.

With Much Love,
Shawn Hill

We are believing God for BJ's healing and are reminded often that when two or three are gathered in his name and agree it shall be done & the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. I shared part of BJ's story with our youth group last night and numerous students and adults from Gethsemane are praying for you! I especially want to pray God's grace and mercy upon the immediate family in the midst of this storm and thank you for getting the courage to spend a few moments each day updating your son's story. I look forward to seeing and meeting you all soon!

This past school year, BJ helped me through some really difficult times in my life. He opened my eyes to so much more than I had ever realized was there. He showed me what love and faith could do in my life. BJ is someone that will always make me smile because of the joy in his heart. He's one of those people who loves to learn but also to teach, and he's great at both. In meeting him, I saw that life can be wonderful if we help to make it that way. He honestly did that. Now, hearing all of these things about his condition, I don't know how to react. I know to pray for him and to hope for him, and I will definitely keep him in my thoughts always. He has touched my heart as well as so many others' hearts, but that's not all that I recognize him for. He honestly showed me the way that I want to live by showing me that ways I could be living. I just wanted to write this for his family and for him at one point in time him. I feel like whatever I can do to get through to him I will. This is one of those things. Please know that BJ is my thoughts and prayers always and will continue to be.

With Love and Gratefulness,
Sarah Beth
