Good afternoon from sunny, windy, Tulsa!!! Airplanes are toooooo small, but they are fast. We arrived safely, and had a great day with Awe Star staff. It is so good to be with family.

Walking through the airport yesterday reminded us of the time we dropped Beej off for his '05 Peru trip. Deanna pointed out the bench where we prayed with him. Just that simple act, brought other believers into our midst who wanted to join in prayer and fellowship. It was a sweet time...it always is.

My friend Jan (a guy) shared with me recently his last memory of BJ. He is a co-worker, and comes in and out of my camp owned home on occassion. This day, Deanna was leaving as he arrived, so she sent him on in. He entered, and saw Beej on the floor of his room. He was kneeling on one knee with his back to the door. Jan asked, "What are you doing?" BJ replied, I'm studying my Bible!

This ordinary exchange is only memorable because it was such a common occurrence. Beej read and wrote as he studied his Bible. God spoke to Him so clearly at times. His Bible studies were precious to him, and he would often exclaim, "Dad, guess what I read"... then proceed to share in vivid detail about his forays into the Word.

Jan stated he would enjoy that memory, his last of Beej, for a lifetime. So will I Jan, and thanks for sharing it with me. I can still see him in just that posture, kneeling in his room, sharing with the Lord. Today, he is doing the same thing, from a better home!

Serving the King beside you,

dad

Thanks Rusty, Michelle, Bart and Shannon for spending last night with my Whitney! You have blessed us!

Thankful you are safely there. . .

Trusting Him to walk beside you through the weekend. . .

Watching to see Him at work--Lord, rain your power, peace, and presence down on this weekend. Bring your unity, love, light, and challenge to this gathering. We stand against Satan and any of the roadblocks he would throw up against those involved. Shine, Jesus, shine!

Dear Higgins Family,
I had some catching up to do today because i hadn't checked this website for several days. It is such a blessing to hear how God continues to carry your family and bless you through the people he sends to your life.
Since BJ's celebration service God has made it more and more evident that I am going to the missions field. Ever since highschool I had expected not to be going on a long-term trip until after college but the other night God's Spirit told me to get out of bed and to just read the Bible. It took me a few minutes to get out of bed b/c I didn't really believe it was God telling me to get up. So I picked up where I had left off earlier. God made it totally evident that I am going to take off a semester, probably first semester next year, to go overseas and serve for 4 months. I would truely appriciate any prayer support you can give. I am SO excited but I also know there will be many challenges along the way. I also know God will provide for every aspect of it. I am also so excited to see where this will lead! These verses have become what I strive for as I pray about God's will in my life: "I eagerly exepct and hope taht I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:20-21
Amen

Thank you for your obedience to Christ and for letting your son/brother follow God's calling on His life!
You all are such a blessing to me!!

Humbly,
Haley McCracken

Brent,Deanna,Whitney and Lauren,

Our kids Brittany(Awe Star-Peru '02-'04,Uganda '05)and Ryan Allen are still on the plane going to Tulsa, OK. Their plane will arrive about 6:18 P.M. We are so excited that you both will be there to share your testimony with your AWE STAR kids and family.
Brittany knew your son B.J. The last time she saw him was at Dallas, TX last summer before everyone went on missions. She is 18 years old and is in her first year of college. Ryan is B.J.'s age. He turned 16 on Aug 24th.
He is in the 10th grade. We are praying that he will have a passion to go on missions!
Thank you for your ministry on this BLOG! The sharing of B.J.'s journal and life is precious and encourages us in our walk with the Lord and to understand our son.
B.J. loving the swordfight is what Ryan loves!
When we send Brittany off to missions, we leave her in God's hands. We have gotten alot of opposition esp. from family. But we have been blessed letting her go.
We are praying for your family & for the church who lost their pastor.
Love,
The Allen's

have you had dreams? 3 years after my beloved grandmothers death and i still dream monthly - every room of her house, opening drawers, i wake and say thank you god, i feel like i've been to visit her. i've had reoccuring dreams(many)when we find out she's not really dead like we thought or she comes back to life. (i think she comes to me through god's love, to tell me she is not dead, she is still alive and with me). but then i never have dreamed of my mother who died when i was a baby, so maybe it is my own memories, but either way - i hope it never stops.

Hey,
I don't comment much on here anymore, but I still check the updates nearly daily. It is great to hear the stories about BJ. It kind of makes me feel like I knew him better. I never actually met him, but I feel like we have a connection even so.

Brent,

Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself to my daughter, Raysha, Friday night in Tulsa. It meant so much to her that you took the time and that you remembered seeing her name on the blog. God bless you.

I wanted to say thank you so much for praying for me. You know the last few days my heart has been so heavy and I have totally felt the power of your prayers for me. Oh my goodness, that is what it is. I have been feeling so different like something is going on inside of me(good stuff) and It's God. He has heard your prayers for me. I do I really do feel different. I have so much wanted to change my old ways and have been really torn. I have been a Christian for a long time, but was caught up in this world and doing things that I know are wrong. I am so thankful for you, for all of you who prayed and please continue to pray for me. I am in awe, because I seriously am like why do i feel so different. I know why, now, I know why. Oh thank you, Lord for tugging at my heart and knocking at my door, thank you father. Thank you all again, I felt the power of prayer. I pray that you have a wonderful time in oaklahoma. Thank you, again, thank you.
