Good afternoon! This morning has gone well. Throughout the night, BJ's oxygen levels remained in the high 80s, even hitting 90% a few times. This morning they have turned down the ventilator to 65% (from 90%... the higher the percentage and the longer it goes, the more it damages his lungs) and his oxygen level remains around 85%. The doctors did begin giving him constant platelettes (the ecmo destroys them), but they have been able to stop that now. We are praising God for the encouragement, but remembering that He is still being faithful no matter the situation.

"Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God." 1 Peter 4:1-2

Prayed for BJ today! "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)

i have been in constant prayer since i heard about bj. i know the Lord has all control and all authority, and that His will must be done for all of His glory. i know that bj would want nothing else than for us to be prasing our wonderful maker for all that He is and all He has done. i served in Peru with bj last summer and in Thailand this summer with Awe Star. he is my brother and dear friend. and i know that the Lord will be blessed through this. great is our God and so worthy of all our praise. bj you are in my prayers and i know you are a solider and you will fight for the Lord all the days you are given on this earth. be strong. with so much love in the purest of ways, through Christ.
