Today there has been a general trend down in BJ's SAT number. He began the day in the mid 90's. After removing the Nitric oxide pump, his numbers dipped into the 80's then rebounded. A couple hours hours later, they began to gradually drop to where they are now...the low to mid 80's. Trying to keep things in perspective, there was a time we would have been thrilled with these numbers. But now, on the other side of ECMO we expect higher numbers.

They did an ultrasound and an x-ray, trying to determine if he has a bone infection or a pocket of infected fluid somewhere. Both were negative. We are thankful for this. Dr. Sichting even thinks the air pockets around his lungs are gone. Sooo, we have no answers, and are watching his numbers decline. His color has changed as well. He looks more purple.

Please pray for the Lord to turn the tide once again! Father You will receive all the Glory either way.

Here we have yet another opportunity to pray, and we're thankful. It's amazing the stages that God has brought us through, and how now, so many of us trust Him completely to do what He wills. Thank you, family, for being so willing to be submitted to God so that many, many others could learn valuable lessons. All praise and glory to Him.

Love in Christ,

We continue to pray...we will do so for each detail.

Lord, may you continue to be glorified and honored through BJ & his family. We lift him up and know that you are Jehovah Ralpha & can heal beyond our wildest imagination & ways. We ask that you might do so with BJ. Humbly, we so desire his healing - completely - yet, we want Your will & your timing. Please increase his numbers, return his healthy color & reveal his sickness to the doctors. Your will be done.

We remain committed to our knees on BJ's behalf.

Dear God,
Please bring BJ's O2 Sats up and restore his skin colour.Take the swelling down and let the kidneys begin to function. Father, please let the Drs find the source of the infection so that they can treat it appropriately. He has come a long, long way but Oh, he is still so sick. We pray for protection for BJ's body tonight - protection from the infection that is raging somewhere within, protection on each organ that they will function as they should. Please be with Brent, Deanna, Lauren and Whitney as they wait and watch!
In Your name,
Amen

Praying for BJ with all my heart. Lord God, Creator of all things. As a believer in your Son Jesus I claim power and authority over the evil one and any force of evil that is attacking BJ's body. He is a child of the King. I command evil to take your hands off him. Lord I pray that BJ's numbers will rise once again and his good color will return. Give him a stable and restful night. Father I especailly pray for Brent, Deanna, Lauren and Whitney tonight. I cannot even imagine the swings they have gone through these past days and weeks. Lord please meet each one at the point of their need. I know how deeply they love BJ!! They have to be exhausted. Might they be encouraged and sense the tons of love coming their way. Surround them, cover them, wrap them with an overwhelming sense of Your Presence. Where fear creaps in give them confidence and peace. Confidence in a God who IS in CONTROL even when things seem out of control. When they wake tomorrow I pray they find BJ with strong sats, 90's + Swelling gone done and a renewed sense of peace that only you can bring. Please Lord God....make it so. In the Name of Yahshua our Lord...Amen.....We Love you....Phil & Paula

Lord, we know that BJ is in your hands. I pray that you will help those numbers to rise. The doctors have no explanation, but we know that you do. Please be with BJ's family tonight as they have this additional worry tonight of the low numbers. Comfort them. I also pray for those kidneys. Return their function to normal Lord.

Brent, Deanna and Family,

It was good to see you tonight and to hear about BJ's progress. Thanks for keeping all of us up-to-date regarding BJ. BJ and all of you are constantly in our prayers to the Lord for healing, direction, comfort, and peace during this troubling time in BJ's life (and our lives too).

As I shared with at the hospital, it is so human to ask why but we must remember that God placed on this big hunk of clay to serve, not to question. We'll understand it all - by and by.

Get some rest, let go and let GOD!

Thank You Lord for all that you are accomplishing in this trying situation. We rest in the full assurance that You are in control and Your Will - will be done! AMEN

Brent, you say "we have no answers" when I think you mean "there are no medical answers at this time". We know the author of all answers because he knows the questions before we even speak them (Psalm 139...before a word is on my tongue you know it completely)
Please know dear family that I am praying for the numbers to improve, for BJ's coloring to come back, for his kidneys to begin functioning and for the Doctors to be able to identify the source and location of the infection. I'm praying for Dr. Chaten and Dr. Metz as well as Dr. Ruppel and Dr. Sichting and Dr. Williams and especially Dr. Belcher. and I thank God for those wonderful nurses that you've mentioned by name who help you in many ways.
Please rest in God's arms tonight while we pray on your behalf. As I read these blogs there aren't very many hours through the night that someone isn't writing or reading. God is so generous in putting believers throughout the world to lift BJ up in prayer.
Keep believing.

Lord Jesus, only you can do this. This is too big for man and nothing is too big for you. You are creator, redeemer, savior, friend, great physician. We pray that you will touch BJ in such a mighty way that there is no other explanation than a divine intervention. We are asking for that intervention right now and to you be all glory, honor, and praise. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Father God, We rejoice in the trust in You that BJ and his entire family have shown us over and over. Thank you that you sympathize with us in our weaknesses, and that you are hurting with Brent and Deanna even as they cry out to you on their precious son's behalf.

Lord, we trust you for the timing with the kidney function, and we continue to trust you with the SAT numbers as well. We DO ask you to perform more miracles, mighty God. Please work in such a way that all who see or hear about BJ know that You, and only You, get the credit. Thank you that You haven't stopped working, that You haven't changed Your loving care for BJ, and that Your ways are higher than ours. Thank you for each one who reads and prays for BJ--what a blessing to be able to pray along with so many of the postings on this site!

Father, tonight we cry out to you as the Healer of all our hurts. Although some of BJ's problems have baffled even the doctors, we know that none of them are a mystery to you. After all, you formed the inmost parts of his body, and you know the exact places that need your healing touch. Like the centurion soldier, God, we are "under authority," and we know that all You have to do is say the word and BJ will be healed. We trust You for that word of grace and mercy in BJ's life and in our own lives.

Let BJ know your presence in, around, and through him through this night. Thank You so much for showing us Your glory through this young man. Let it pour!

in Your mighty and powerful name,

Pieper Family
Charleston, SC

It is during these moments when we learn to bless the Lord at all times. The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. And those weapons are our ability to sing praises, offer up sacrifices of thanksgiving, and faith that God word has already said that by His stripes we were healed. BJ already has God's promise that he is healed and like the friends who lowered the paraplegic down from the roof in front of Jesus, we too must use our faith to claim that promise. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." I know this promise is true for BJ has already been seeking the Lord with his whole heart.

Brent, Deanna, Whitney & Lauren,
Keep on believing for the best for I know Our God will surpass your wildest dreams. We will continue to hold all of you up in prayers as well as songs of thanksgiving for His mercy and goodness. "The Lord inhabits the praises of his people." Where there is praise, God is in the midst of it.

In His Love
Dawn D.
