Beloved of the Lord,

We have been sitting in room 2001 and listening to Whitney play the guitar and sing "How Deep the Father's Love". The Peace of Christ is overwhelming at times, and then at others we are overcome with emotion. Emotion over what He has done through Beej, over what He has done in this hospital stay, over what He has done thru you, over what He will yet do. I won't lie, there is a huge lump in my body that prevents me from taking a deep breath. I don't want more pain for BJ, but we do want what Jesus wants. With that in mind, You know of surgery at 2pm. Then after 5pm, there may be another procedure to clean out the deep hip lesion, now believed to be the source of infection. We have heard 2 or 3 opinions from different Doctors about what should be done, could be done, what will help, what may not...We are seeking the Lord's wisdom in doing the right things for Beej, and yet...in all ways, it is up to our Lord.

For now, he is hanging in there with significant support...more than he has had to have in awhile. He has never left the Fathers hands, and he never will. I love you, Jesus.

My thoughts are always with your family and I have started praying because of BJ. Just seeing your family witness the way you do and learning about God through BJ's journaling, has made my life different. Different in a good way I believe. God is doing great things while BJ lays there. I will pray that God shift all those great things to BJ today and give him the step forward he so deserves.

I have naught but my destitution
To plead for me with Thee.

And in my poverty I put forward that destitution as my plea.

I have no power save to knock at Thy door,

And if I be turned away, at what door shall I knock?

Or on whom shall I call, crying his name,

If Thy generosity is refused to Thy destitute one?

Far be it from Thy generosity to drive the disobedient one to despair!

Generosity is more freehanded than that.

In lowly wretchedness I have come to Thy door,

Knowing that degradation there finds help.

In full abandon I put my trust in Thee,

Stretching out my hands to Thee, a pleading beggar

Lord - what you have allowed each of us to experience through the activities in Room 2001 is, quite frankly, beyond my comprehension. We have been up, we have been down, encouraged, and discouraged. But through it all, we have been in You.

Only you Lord know what lies ahead. We continue to call upon you to work a healing miracle in BJ today. In your name Lord we ask for that.

Help us to feel your presence right now Father as we look to You for everything.

Amen.

Lord, in 10 minutes BJ will once again endure another surgery/procedure. We ask you to strengthen his body, to sustain him through this process, to guide the surgeon in all that he does. We beg for mercy for BJ that he might fight away this infection once again. Please strengthen his family during this difficult time. We pray that you will comfort all of us pulling for BJ to make it through this so that he may one day go out and serve you here in the world. Help us to accept your will, Father, even if it is contrary to our desires; help us to trust in the slow work of your hands; help us to find rest and peace in your arms. I'm praying and praying today, as always for healing for BJ, for strength for Brent & Deanna, and sisters. May the peace of Jesus envelope you while you are waiting on these procedures. I know this has to be very hard on you, but I know your faith is strong. God, please be with all of BJ's caregivers, leading them, guiding them to do exactally what you know needs to be done. I beleive in God's mercy, and only he knows the plan he has for BJ. Thank you for sharing day to day and hour to hour BJ's progress. It helps us all to pray more specifally each time we hear from you. love, Charlene, Martinsville, IN

Your love and willingness to share BJ's life and current situation as you walk through the valley is a testimony to everyone that reads this blogger!
I would like to think that as BJ lays there, he and God are actually having a pow-wow about whether he stays here, and what role God will have him play in the future should he stay. Man, wouldn't that be a testimony to the world when he gets up and walks out of that hospital cheating death just like Lazarus did!
Keep the faith because the Creator of all the universe holds BJ in the palm of His hand!
Praying for all of you...

I've been praying for your family and B.J. I'm not all that computer savy so this is the first time for me to comment, but I have been praying since I first heard of your son. Our daughter has been on 3 Awestar mission trips in the past. I read what you post from your son's journal and I'm reminded of the awsome zeal for the Lord's work my daughter has after following the Lord's call on her life to go on mission. I don't pretend to understand what your family is going through during this time but I am sure of the fact that God holds your family through this storm. This is so evident in your daily journaling. You have been a blessing to me as I see your faith in our God in regards for His will for your son. Only in the family of God can strangers have such comman ground of faith and prayer.

Our Youth Group, Family, and Friends continue to pray for BJ. The Bible says that if 3 or more are gathered in the name of Christ, then He will hear them. God may not always answer our prayers exactly the way we would like for him to, but we have to know that whatever happens is for his ultimate plan and glory. God may be using this as a tool to get everyone to trust him and have faith in him, because it is in his hands. We will never stop praying for BJ. HANG IN THERE BJ! With God's help, you can make it! We don't even know you, but we all love you and your family. May God Bless you always!

Falling on my face before the Lord - to #1 PRAISE HIM, to #2 CRY OUT FOR YOU ALL and to #3 TO PRAISE HIM FOR ALL HE WILL CONTINUE TO DO! Glory be to God the Father for your hearts and PEACE in the unknown :) You are being lifted up to our Glorious God! It reminds me of the song from Natalie Grant "Held". Let me tell you, since my Gramma's death in April, I have listened to that song hundreds of times and cried because of the aches in my heart - but, God comes ever so near to me (James 4:8) and changes my ache to PRAISES that He has given us things and people we could never deserve without His GRACE and MERCY! Love to you all and to all on this blog - the Lord inhabits the PRAISES of His people! Let's rock His socks off :)

How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give his only Son
And make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns his face away
As wounds that mar the chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I can not give an answer
But this I know will all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
I do not conceal your love and your truth

11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, O LORD;
may your love and your truth always protect me.
12 For troubles without number surround me;
my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.
They are more than the hairs of my head,

O LORD, come quickly to help me.

be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.
15 May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!"
be appalled at their own shame.
16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation always say,
"The LORD be exalted!"
17 Yet I am poor and needy;
may the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
O my God, do not delay

Dear family I don't know why I sense fear when the presence of the Lord couldn't be more obvious. It is almost like child birth. The greatest pain and most frequent pain come right BEFORE deivery and then the pain turns into joy. I pray that is what is happening with BJ. I pray the Lord is about to deliver him and satan knows that so he is doing his best to bring fear and discouragement to the family. I am confident you are strong in the Lord and as you have said you are at peace with BJ being in the Fathers hands. I pray the Creator of Heaven and Earth will ease your pain and in a way only He can bring you peace. I remain in constant prayer.

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my
relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my
life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to
quit?" His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the
bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took
very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them
water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its
brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came
from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the
bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant
and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo
seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo." He said.
"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo
seed. But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo
see. I would not quit." He said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the
earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and
insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo
rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five
years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and
gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give
any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me.
"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have
been struggling, you have actually been growing
roots?"
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on
you."
"Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The
bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they
both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise
high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as
you can."
I left the forest and bring back this story. I hope
these words can help you see that God will never give
up on you.
He will never give up on you!

Wonderful, Merciful Saviour
(Dawn Rodgers, Eric Wyse)

Wonderful, merciful Saviour
Precious Redeemer and Friend
Who would've thought that a Lamb could
Rescue the souls of men
Oh, You rescue the souls of men

Counselor, Comforter, Keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost our way
Oh, we've hopelessly lost the way

You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for

Almighty, infinite Father
Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne
Oh, we're falling before Your throne

You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for

I've been praying for BJ since I first heard of his plight about 3 weeks ago. I have no doubt that BJ will be completely healed! God be with you and your family.

I envision BJ being immersed in a pool of brilliant, white transformative light...as if all angels were in "liquid" form. He is immersed in this healing light and is swimming freely in it. He's laughing...filled with joy...pain-free...and knows nothing but Love. His body is remembering what it's like to be healthy and whole again. He is transformed. He is God's perfect body! Halleluiah! :) Swim and laugh BJ....

Psa 55:1 Hear my prayer, O God; don't turn away from my plea!
Psa 55:2 Listen to me and answer me; I am worn out by my worries.
Psa 55:3 I am terrified by the threats of my enemies, crushed by the oppression of the wicked. They bring trouble on me; they are angry with me and hate me.
Psa 55:4 I am terrified, and the terrors of death crush me.
Psa 55:5 I am gripped by fear and trembling; I am overcome with horror.
Psa 55:6 I wish I had wings like a dove. I would fly away and find rest.
Psa 55:7 I would fly far away and make my home in the desert.
Psa 55:8 I would hurry and find myself a shelter from the raging wind and the storm.
Psa 55:9 Confuse the speech of my enemies, O Lord! I see violence and riots in the city,
Psa 55:10 surrounding it day and night, filling it with crime and trouble.
Psa 55:11 There is destruction everywhere; the streets are full of oppression and fraud.
Psa 55:12 If it were an enemy making fun of me, I could endure it; if it were an opponent boasting over me, I could hide myself from him.
Psa 55:13 But it is you, my companion, my colleague and close friend.
Psa 55:14 We had intimate talks with each other and worshiped together in the Temple.
Psa 55:15 May my enemies die before their time; may they go down alive into the world of the dead! Evil is in their homes and in their hearts.
Psa 55:16 But I call to the LORD God for help, and he will save me.
Psa 55:17 Morning, noon, and night my complaints and groans go up to him, and he will hear my voice.
Psa 55:18 He will bring me safely back from the battles that I fight against so many enemies.
Psa 55:19 God, who has ruled from eternity, will hear me and defeat them; for they refuse to change, and they do not fear him.
Psa 55:20 My former companion attacked his friends; he broke his promises.
Psa 55:21 His words were smoother than cream, but there was hatred in his heart; his words were as soothing as oil, but they cut like sharp swords.
Psa 55:22 Leave your troubles with the LORD, and he will defend you; he never lets honest people be defeated.
Psa 55:23 But you, O God, will bring those murderers and liars to their graves before half their life is over. As for me, I will trust in you.

I want to thank you for taking us along on this journey with BJ. His testimonies and willingness to be your servant regardless of what he had to endure for the cause of Christ has been something amazing for those of us who have been privileged to be a part of and we thank you! We will continue to pray for the right procedures to be done and decisions to be made. Lord, please be with the surgeons at this time and guide them as only you can do. Your will be done.

This is a prayer I received from a friend today. It blessed me, I hope it blesses you.
It shall be well with you this year. No matter how much your enemies try this year, they will not succeed. You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year. For the remaining months of the year, your problems will enter call blocking, your enemies will have network problems and their bad wishes for you will enter into voicemail and you will only get them as missed calls. All your agonies will be divrted and victory and prosperity will be your incoming calls. Heavens have confirmed today the end of yuor sufferings, sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you. HE has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. HE will never let you down. I knocked at heavens door this morning, GOD asked me...My child, what can I do for you? And I said, FATHER, please protect and bless BJ. GOD smiled and answered...Request granted.

I asked God to give me direction as to what to pray for you and this came to mind..
The Lord is my shepard; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. he restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk throught the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the prescence of my enemies; you anonit my head with oil. My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwel in the house of the Lord Forever.
I feel this applies to whatever is God's will for BJ. You are all in my prayers...

It's at times like these that all I can do is hold on to my Jesus with all the strength that He gives me at the moment. Thankfully, I know that what He gives me will be enough. Thank you, family for being a wonderful example of that faith that I need to have.

Dear God,
Oh, our God, it's hard to express what we're feeling right now, but we know You understand. Thank you for being our hope, our shield and our guide through out these 40 days.
We come before You now on our knees at Your feet, acknowledging that You deserve all the glory. It's here that we ask that You do what You know is best.
We also stand with confidence, knowing that when You look at us You see not our sinful selves, but Your Son Jesus. It is with this powerful authority that we say that Satan will not use this sickness to do his will, but that this situation will scream and cry out Your praises.
But we also come to You and crawl into your lap, as your children and rest in Your peace. And here in Your love, we beg for the healing of our brother. You know what's wrong, and You know how to fix it. We ask that You do that now, on this day.
We love You for all You have done for us. Thank You our Lord and our God.
It's in Jesus name we pray,
Amen

The yearnings of our hearts won't stop. We will ever be in prayer.

Love in Christ,

May you know that no matter what God is with you! He will never leave you! IF ever that becomes to hard to see lean on someone else for the moment and they will carry you to Jesus!

Carry You To Jesus by Steven Curtis Chapman

I will not pretend to feel the pain you’re going through
I know I cannot comprehend the hurt you’ve known
And I used to think it mattered if I understood
But now I just don’t know

Well, I’ll admit sometimes I still wish I knew what to say
And I keep looking for a way to fix it all
But we know we’re at the mercy of God’s higher ways
And our ways are so small

But I will carry you to Jesus
He is everything you need
I will carry you to Jesus on my knees

It’s such a privilege for me to give this gift to you
All I’d ever hope you’d give me in return
Is to know that you’ll be there to do the same for me
When the tables turn

And if you need to cry go on and I, I will cry along with you, yeah
I’ve given you what I have but still I know the best thing I can do
Is just pray for you

I’ll carry you
I’ll take you to Jesus on my knees

God Is In Control
Twila Paris

God is in Control
This is no time for fear
This I a time for faith and determination
Don’t lose the vision here
Carried away by the motion

Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him
We know, ohh, God is in control
Ohh, God is in control

History marches on
There is a bottom line drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh but the line never changes
No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever

Repeat chorus

He has never let you down
Why start to worry now
Why start to worry now
He is still the Lord of all we see
And he is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me

Watching over you
Watching over me
Watching over everything
Watching over you

Watching over me
Every little sparrow
Every little king
Ohh, every little king

Repeat chorus

Your Love Is Deep
-Jamie Smith
Your love is deep
Your love is high
Your love is long
Your love is wide
(repeat)
Your love is deeper than my view of grace
Higher than this worldy place
Longer than this road I travel
Wider than the gap You filled
Who shall seperate us?
Who shall seperate us from your love?
Nothing can seperate us. Nothing can seperate us from your love...
Your love is deep
Your love is high
Your love is long
Your love is wide
...Your love is deep

2 Cor. 4:7 "But this precious treasure-this light and power that now shine within us-is held in perishable containers, that it, in our weak bodies. So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own."
It sounds like BJ is a HUGE light for Christ and I will be praying constantly for the Lord's healing hand.

I am certainly praying for God's will in this. I'm praying for BJ, and the family. God will do His wonders, and we all know they are great. Whatever God's will is, I am praying for it. I hope he knows there are people praying for him all over, and that God is taking care of him. -trzybinski family

Dear Father,

Please be with Higgins Family during this difficult trial. We praise you for the miracles you already have done through BJ...his witnessing and all the souls he has brough to You. You are the Doctor of doctors. You made a lame man walk. You gave sight to the blind man. Now we ask, Father, that You please give BJ life...not just eternal life...but life here on earth to continue your ministry. We praise You once again for all that You have already done...and will continue to do. May Your name be glorified. May Your will be done.

Lord Jesus, I lift BJ up to you tonight. I pray for healing of his body, Lord if it be your will. If healing for BJ is not in your plans, Lord, I pray for peace of heart for his dear family as they find comfort in knowing he will be healed and with you in heaven, and there is no greater honor than knowing that assurance...and also the assurance of knowing they will one day all be reunited. Bless this family, Lord, and bless BJ as he endures this difficult time. These things I pray in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
