Beej looks good this morning! His hair washed and combed, his face thinned down, and His SAT's in the mid to upper 90'S...Praise Jesus!!! I believe he will be turned back to his tummy this morning (bye-bye thin face). His heart rate is down, his blood pressure is close to normal. We are so thankful this morning!!!

His ventilator pressure is higher than when he started with this infection, so hopefully they will be able to come down on that today, and move towards getting him off this ventilator. At least as soon as he's ready.

Loved ones we cannot tell you how much you have meant to us through this journey. Your continuous outpouring of love has been both uplifting and inspirational.

Thank you,

BJ's dad

Brent, Deanna, Lauren & Whitney, good morning. Praise God for the great news !!Unfortunately my back wakes me up several times during the night but I now see it as an opportunity to pray for BJ and you all. Your family is a true inspiration to us all. I pray fervently for God to help the doctors identify the infection and remove any trace of it from BJ's body. Also pray for BJ's numbers to stay up today and for new life for his kidneys. I know the God who created BJ, Kidneys and all will Himself bring total and complete healing. I still feel the need for God's people to gather on the property...NOT inside which would be distracting but perhaps in the garden in front of the hospital. I can be there in a moments notice to pray a hedge of proctection over your entire family.

Psalm 37
1 [a] Do not fret because of evil men
or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
23 If the LORD delights in a man's way,
he makes his steps firm;
24 though he stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
25 I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
26 They are always generous and lend freely;
their children will be blessed.

Thank you Father God, for watching over BJ, his family, the doctors and nurses this day. If there be any evil attacking BJ's body we command it to come out by the authority of Jesus Himself. The Body of Christ is united and of one mind, even so make it so Lord Jesus for we pray in Your name Amen..............Love you...Phil

I will be praying for BJ today and for the continued grace your family is feeling from the Lord. He doesn't give us situations without the grace to handle them. May you continue to find that grace today and tomorrow. BJ must be doing some special work bringing people to the Lord. I pray that God Himself remove any evil from his body so he can continue to do the Lords work. In His name I pray.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice,

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Let the people rejoice,

O come to the Father through Jesus the Son
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.

We are rejoicing with you and continuing to pray. I would normally be sad about the interrupted nights I've had lately, too--but there have definitely been lots of moments to PRAY FOR BJ!!

Praise God! Lord, please continue to heal BJ's body! Banish the enemy and any disease. May you, who formed him in the womb, restore his kidneys to peak activity. Only You can do it, and only You will be glorified. Give BJ and his family rest today. Please Lord, sustain them as only you can. Thank you so much for this hope, and may we all continue to praise you and pray earnestly without growing faint, for the total and miraculous healing of your precious servant.

Deanna,

Your update yesterday really touched my heart. Even though I've been in your shoes with my own son, I don't even know what to say to you in my own words. Instead, God's Word tells you, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jer. 29:11-13

On the hardest of days and when I felt that there was nothing I could do to help my son, I always reminded myself of absolute truths straight from God's Word: "[Love] ALWAYS protects, ALWAYS trusts, ALWAYS hopes, ALWAYS perseveres. Love NEVER fails." 1Cor 13:7-8

It doesn't say "sometimes", "on occasion", "whenever it feels like it", "as needed", or a medical term like "PRN"; it says ALWAYS and NEVER!

Maybe you feel helpless on some days but always remember that your most important job right now is to love BJ, and love NEVER fails!

We continue to pray throughout each day.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for encouraging news this morning. Thank you for sustaining Brent, Deanna, Lauren, and Whitney through another stressful day yestersay and giving them peace and joy in the morning.
Thank you for the wonderful medical team that you have provided for BJ. Thank you that they are able to be an encouragement to Brent, Deanna, Lauren and Whitney. Thank you for Dr. Sichting and her encouraging words to Deanna last night. Father, you work in wonderous ways... Thank you for always providing.
Be with BJ today, Lord. Give the doctors wisdom and knowledge to find the source of the infection, and, Father, we pray that it will be banished from BJ's body. Allow his numbers to remain stable and please allow his kidneys to begin functioning. You created BJ, and we are so thankful that we can approach the maker of ALL things for help.
Continue to be close to Brent, Deanna, Lauren and Whitney today. Hold them closely when they are tired and frustrated... Be with them when they need comfort and encouragement.
We thank you for your power, your might, and your hand in all of this.
Amen.

Praying that you will have a "boring" day... followed by a few more and some time to breathe.

We love you LOADS.

Nate and Amy

We thank God for the good report today. What a rollercoaster ride you all have been on! You have certainly had more than your fair share of ups and downs. I am thankful that the prayers and your faith has been able to sustain you through this journey. Will continue to pray for healing, renal function, O2 sats to stay up, and everyone's continued strength and endurance. Will pray that the CDC/medical staff will be able to come to some conclusion of what the initial infection was to better treat BJ. You all continue to be forefront in our thoughts and prayers throughout the day. Love you all.

Love, Nancy

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Continuing to pray for BJ...

Father thank You for the little things that only parents notice, the things that we would normally take for granted like washed and combed hair. Thank You Lord that this brought an obvious smile to his mom and dad.
Thank You Lord for all that You have done through out the night for BJ. Lord I ask that You would continue to be in control of this situation, continue to give the doctors and care givers wisdom and strength. Continue to sustain BJ's family Lord. I praise You and glorify Your name.
In Jesus name Amen and Amen

Indeed your journey is like a rollercoaster ride. Some hours up, some hours down. It is grueling, for sure. A lot of people couldn't do it. Your ability to keep going shows that God is providing super-natural strength that can only come from Him. I know BJ would be proud of how you are holding up. I am proud of you, too. I've posted before, but will tell you again that I made it through 156 days of NICU rollercoaster and saw my baby die twice in front of me post op. But, praise God he is fine now! No one can prepare you for what you are experiencing. This is a marathon journey that requires that you take care of yourselves when you probably don't feel like it. For BJ, and to stay strong enough to tolerate all, be sure to sleep and eat! I lost 30 pounds from stress alone on my journey! And, always remember that friends and strangers alike continue to fervently lift BJ and your family up in our prayers. Don't be afraid to ask for help...others want to help but don't know how... Even little things like asking someone else to mow your yard, or clean your house, or do your laundry can make a big difference b/c you won't have to think about those things. Though we've never met, and probably will never meet, you are loved. Carol

Thanks, "Cousin Beth," for sharing the devotional and wise words. As we continue praying for BJ, we've also learned today of our mother's diagnosis with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Certainly, the lessons already learned as we pray for BJ and his family will guide ours as well. We CONTINUE praying for boring days there in room 2001--except that we'd like them to include rain!

I was reading this AM about Epaphroditus who like BJ was a messenger and was sent to take care of Paul's needs (missionary). Philippiams 2:27 says: "Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow." I pray God has mercy on BJ and all those who love him and have prayed for him.

Brent,
Praise the Lord!!
Miss you here at the camp. Just know that BJ is in my prayers everyday, every second that God lays him on my heart. We are all doing good, but miss you. We have a camp dog now. Brian said we can't have one and the dog had to go. She chased him down the other day when he went to your house and she didn't come back with him. Brian was afraid she would get hit on the road, because she doesn't hear vary good and went after her.
Also, that day he got her some dog food. Brian said it's my dog because I started feeding her. So, now we have this yellow dog that chases after you when you drive aroud the camp. when I leave at night I have to go down to the retreats and drive fast so she can't keep up and doesn't go out to the road. You would laugh at us and this dog!
Tell Deanna and girls I'm thinking of them and praying for them.
sending my prayers,
Tina
