Tonight, Beej's SAT's are back in the mid 80's. His blood pressure is in a pretty good place, but still a little low. There has been no discovery made about where he is infected.

The Plastic Surgeon is due here in the next couple of hours to view his sites, and make recommendations. This will be for sometime in the future, when he is (Lord willing) able to handle it.

The second CDC report came back negative, so we still do not know what initially attacked his body. Now our Infectious Disease doctor is sending out all new samples for antibody study. Apparently, you can help diagnose diseases by antibody formation.

God is in this! I am extremely grateful that He is so faithful!!! Bless each of you for your continued prayer support.

A special thanks to Dr. Sichting for comforting my Deanna at a low moment today. You have truly blessed us with your care and concern.

C'mon Lord...lets kick this infection...Please!

Just a quick prayer for you and yours: Lord Jesus, we praise your Holy name. You are the great maestro and I just pray right now that you would orchestrate the specialists and line them up with the wisdom that comes only from you. Lord you are so faithful and we thank you for this precious brother. Continue to strengthen his family and when this victory is had, they will look back and only see one set of footprints in the sand, for we know that you are carrying them through this storm. Thank you Jesus, amen!

Father,

I join this family in praying for their precious son, BJ. My heart is full of awe at how God has worked up to this point and I am in watchful expectancy in what He is going to continue to do in the future. I also pray for the doctors as they continue to find the source of infection - that will maintain stamina in the fight for BJ's life. God is still using BJ to touch the lives of all of us who have learned about him and pray for him.

our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast,

Under the shadow of thy throne,

sufficient is thine arm alone,

Before the hills in order stood,
or earth received her frame,
from everlasting thou art God,
to endless years the same.

O God, our help in ages past,

We stand together in faith, believing your Word, Father, God. Thank you for your healing touch on your people, especially your beloved BJ. Thank you for your peace abounding to Bj's immediate family members, that they can be confident in you, and your plan, Lord. Thank you that we can agree together in prayer, and a spiritual multiplication takes place. If you are for us, who can be against us? We know you are in control, we believe that your people will not be forsaken. We are grateful for today, knowing you have been with us and will continue to be forever.

The Lord is Good, Faithful, and Willing! His timing is PERFECT. Keep the faith sweet family. I know how hard this is. A daily battle! Fight the good fight. Your son is backed by the greatest Person. Keep studying the Word, keep praying. I know how easy it is to give up....been there, done that. Just keep on chugging along. There is a light at the end of this pitch black tunnel...whatever the outcome. And I know the waiting and the roller coaster ride is awful, and it seems like you can't handle it anymore. And trust me, I know at times that it seems like foolishness when we read or say that God doesn't give us more than we can handle. I got to the point during my trial that that was a farse!! But it is true, and He will see you through till the end. He is Loving and All-Powerful and just wants to be glorified, loved, and honored. And you are doing that to the EXTREME!! May God bless you, keep you, fill you, and restrengthen you in this battle, and may a light be seen soon in your darkness. God bless all of you. Just keep looking up!!!

Fellow brothers and sisters, I'd like to share a passage from Jonah that spoke to me when my life was hanging on by a shoestring, and God in is miraculous grace saved me from the pit. Let us encourage the Higgins' and continue in earnest and ferverent prayer for BJ. God is awesome, and his Will will be glorified.

Jonah 2:9

"...In my distress I called to the Lord and he answered me. From the depths of the grave, I called for help, and you listended to my cry. You hurled me into the deep, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me. I said, I've been banished from your sight, yet I will look again toward your holy temple. The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head. To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever.

But you brought my life up from the pit, O Lord my God. While my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed, I will make good. Salvation comes from the Lord."

Barak BJ
Zsoltárok 50
1 Asáf zsoltára. &Az Istenek Istene, az Úr szól, és hívja a földet a nap keltétõl lenyugtáig.
2 A Sionról, a melynek szépsége tökéletes, fényeskedik Isten.

3 Eljön a mi Istenünk és nem hallgat; emésztõ tûz van elõtte, s körülte erõs forgószél.

4 Hívja az egeket onnan felül, és a földet, hogy megítélje népét:

5 Gyûjtsétek elém kegyeseimet, a kik áldozattal erõsítik szövetségemet!

9 [De] nem fogadhatok el tulkot a te házadból, vagy bakokat a te aklaidból;

God is truly being glorified. . . Deanna, I am praying for you as a Mom. . . at times I am sure my tears mingle with yours, but what joy to know that your son is completely hidden in the arms of God. . .

The Lord is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love.
He will rejoice over you with singing.

Dear ones, the Lord is so delighted in you. . .
I do so hope that tonight can be a quiet one in His love.

The Lord has put something on my heart that I wanted to share. Like most everyone here I recognize the power of prayer. If the time would arise when you needed the power of the Body of Christ to pray in unison, like myself I am sure others would want to be able to gather, perhaps in the St. Vincents Hospital parking lot to pray and claim authority over satan. I think it would be overwhelming for so many to come into the hospital but family members could come outside and join us time permiting. Some of us could even do prayer walks in the hospital in pairs to once again claim the blood of Christ to cover the entire hospital. Brent, several times you have mentioned a spiritual battle taking place and I couldn't agree more. Of course we would not do any of this without your blessing and agreement. All you would need to do is notify those of us in the Indy area in one of your updates that it is time for the Body to Gather together to join hands, spirits, and prayers in one voice to call for victory over the evil one. The bloggers who live outside of Indy could also join with us in prayer. What a testimony it would be at the hospital as well as the power that would be generated when countless numbers would come together from all over the area to claim healing for BJ and strength as well as renewal for Brent, Deanna, Lauren and Whitney. Pray over this family and let us know your wishes. I know I speak for many when I say we just want to be here for you in whatever capacity that is helpful and brings glory to God. You all remain in our thoughts and prayers 24/7. We love you with an everlasting love....Phil & Paula

B.J. and Family,
I just recently learned of the disease that has hit your body. B.J. as I was reading about you and the life that you have proclaimed, I was amazed at such an awesome young person and how God has used you to spread his love and word to others. In learning about you, I again realize how God uses the lives of young people and am humbled by your faithfulness to do God's work.
In saying all of this I want you to know how grateful I am for kids like you! What a tremendous witness you are. I'm praying for total healing in your body. God is all powerful and will take care of his children. The trials that you are facing now, this too shall pass. And when God has healed you, you'll be even stronger. I will also be praying for the doctors, nurses, and your precious family as they take care of you.
God Bless You,
