Medical ping pong seems to be going on with BJ's SAT's (blood oxygenation). They spent much of the night in the 80's. Then after the morning chest x-ray, they jumped to 98. They have started to drop back to the low 90's. His color is a little better this morning. He is on dopamine for low blood pressure...which is still pretty low.
It is uncertain if he will be proned (turned to his tummy) today. There is discussion of propping his left side up because of that lung position. We'll tell you more when we find out...Dr. shift change is upcoming.

You have truly helped to hold us up through this journey. Thank you for your love and concern.

Lord you are our portion and strength!

BJ's dad

Hear the Word of the Lord....

Going to War
1 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you. 2 When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. 3 He shall say: "Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. 4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.

Father God, once again we go to your Holy Word for Wisdom and we claim victory for our brother BJ.
We know it is You who go into battle for us. Manytimes, Father, becasue we have feet of clay we grow weary but steadfast nonetheless. I pray the blood of your Son Jesus Christ cover BJ today so the evil one cannot touch him. Annoint the doctors and nurses with wisdom from Thee Most High God. We pray for BJ's SAT numbers to remain stable in the 90's. We pray for his blood pressure to stablize strong throughout the day. Please Lord God move your Holy Spirit over BJ and breath new life into hisd Kidneys that they may function as they were created to do. Protect BJ from any further infection or complication this day. Thank you again for fighting this battle for BJ and we all pray with hearts of expectation believing you for complete and total healing for our brother BJ. Bring peace and calm to Brent, Deanna, Lauren and Whitney today. All these thing we pray in the authority of your only Son, Yahshua, Jesus the Christ, the Annointed One ..Amen...
We love you....Phil & Paula

Father,

Thank you for increasing B'J's numbers. We ask that you would restore the function of his kidney's and stop any new infections the enemy may be trying to use to come against him. Thank you that you are the Great Physician and no infection, disease or pestilence is greater than Your name. We continue to plead the blood of Christ over BJ's body and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We love you and give you all the glory. In the matchless name of Jesus. Amen

Will continue to pray throughout the day.

God used BJ to lead me "Don't Waste Your Life." As I read, I am most thankful I was made aware of this book. BJ hasn't wasted his life...I believe many lives are being drawn closer to our Savior during this time. My prayer is that He will continue to meet each need and surround all of you with His loving arms. I, for one,am standing in the gap. Lord, thank you for hearing my prayer. I give all the glory to You.

Love you all and miss you.

This favorite hymn keeps running through my mind as I pray for BJ and for your family:

Day by day, and with each passing moment
Strength I find to meet my trials here.
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best.
Lovingly its part of pain or pleasure
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour.
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counsellor and Pow'r.
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid.
"As your days, your strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made.

Help me then in every tribulation
So to trust Your promises, O Lord,
Taht I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within Your holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E'er to take, as from a Father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the Promised Land. ("Day by Day," text by Carolina Sandell Berg; translated by andrew L. Skoog).

We are grateful to share in your journey moment by moment and day by day. Praying MUCH for kidney function, no infection, SATs to stabilize at a wonderful level, and "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,"

In the light of healing Love, BJ is suspended, cradled within the arms of loving Spirit, making all things work together for good. For family and friends, doctors, nurses and staff, as well as those here on this forum- the mystery in which we find ourselves bound together shines in illuminating light so that in due time every answer will be revealed and every heart witness to God’s Divine Order. As we hold BJ in thought, prayer, and meditation we are reminded that BJ is perfect now as he was created- it is only his body that is suffering. BJ is not his body- his soul shines through and we are witness to this perfection. As we affirm complete healing for BJ’s body we give thanks knowing no matter whatever the outcome-BJ will ultimately be healed.

The light of God surrounds BJ
The love of God enfolds BJ
The power of God protects BJ and
The presence of God watches over BJ-
Wherever BJ is, God is- and all is well.

I give thanks to our God for His sustaining power this far, for the family's vigilant strength, for the testimonty to the doctors, nurses, families, and people around the world. I ask again today for BJ's complete healing and God's name to spread all the while.

Lord Jesus, heal our sweet BJ. Let his kidneys work well, protect him from any infections, and heal his lungs. Let his numbers get back to normal, and bless his blood pressure Lord. Let only Your Will be done in this precious disciples life. Bless the doctors and nurses with wisdom, and guide their hands. Bless the family with courage, strength, faith, and hope in YOu and all that YOu are doing. You are mighty, and worthy of our praise. You alone are Holy! Let Your light shine in that room, and in that hospital. In Jesus' Name I pray....Amen.

God bless you today. Will be in constant prayer.

You know, I read a comment from a gentleman yesterday that said that he had wavered in his praying because of BJ doing so well, and also in other areas of his life. And that the Lord dislikes that and that is why we are told to pray without ceasing. I am so sorry that I am guilty of that too, dealing with stuff at home, and not focusing on a brother in need as I should have been. Forgive me Father! What a lesson I have learned....that my problems and my pity party for myself over the last couple of days is so stupid and unnecessary and that I need to learn from BJ even more about dying to self and living for Christ alone!! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to get to know him through this, and to know his faith and courage and to see how God is using him. Thank you BJ for all the lessons you are teaching me! YOu are an angel!

Praying without ceasing...again

Heavenly Father you spoke this world into existence. Your breath blew the first wind into our world. If it is your will Father, please breathe upon BJ your healing breath. Father, let his numbers remain steady, let his body let go of the fluid filling it and let any new infection be suddenly and miraculously gone. May the doctors be blessed with wisdom beyond their own understanding, may the nurses have eyes and ears that are tuned into your leading Father and may you continue to hold the Higgins family under your wings (Ps 91). Father I thank you for hearing all of our prayers.
Amen

Prayers are constant for BJ, his family, and the staff of professionals. Time passes quickly for some, but draggs on agonizingly for others. BJ has given so much to those who know him and have been touched by his remarkable strength. It is fitting that we offer our strength to him at his hour of need. If there is indeed strength in numbers, our prayers are being answered by giving him more time to fight this test. Thy will be done.

I am looking for "Paula" who said she just returned from "Catching a Vision"!! Higgins family...you will enjoy how small God's world is. "Catching a Vision" is a Bible study my mom, Barb Widdoes, put together with Katie Williams - an incredible praying woman of God who was heard on Moody & specifically in OH on WCRF for years.

She & her husband were a major part in bringing Billy Graham to OH in 66. My mom was the chairman for "Just Give Me Jesus" & Katie was the co-chairman to bring Anne Graham-Lotz to Cleveland...then the follow-up "Passionate Pursuit". Katie passed away recently and now my mom & her daughter, Christie, are bringing her prayer study to churches all over Cleveland...I think the "Paula" must be in one of the studies!!!! God is so great to watch as He brings His people together!!

Continuing to pray for BJ - he will love hearing all the stories of how God brought people together to glorify Himself over him!

Monday: I received the message today that BJ passed away early this morning. Just want the family to know that I have been praying for BJ and trusting God that HIS will be done. I am so sad, but I know that God will tenderly care for the parents and family now and make them aware that the battle is not theirs but the Lord's. You have run a good race and put it all in God's hands, now trust Him to comfort and sustain you, Dear Ones, as only the Lord Jesus can do. May His Peace be Yours today.
