BJ continues to make small strides forward, and we are thankful. His external bleeding seems to have ceased. He is still experiencing some internal, but it is less than before. His stats that are tracked daily/hourly are improving. All reasons to give praise to our God!

He has been laying in the same position for over 2 weeks, as they cannot move him due to the canulas or tubes, and their strategic placement. They are using gel pads to try and support him, but he is experiencing skin breakdown nonetheless. We've asked about an air mattress, but that isn't an option with this set-up (you'd have to see it to understand).

It is our fervent prayer and belief that our Savior and Lord is and will continue to be glorified through this situation. I have no words to express how deep our gratitude is for the level of prayer support we have received. We believe you have prayed him through many critical moments, and appreciate your sensitivity to the Lord's leading.

Thank you...just.. thank you,

BJ's dad

Gracias, muchas gracias,

El Papa de BJ

Continuing prayers down here in Mooresville. Hopefully the sores are not getting too bad, will specifically pray for healing of them. Also will continue to pray for BJ and the medical staff as they try to wean him off of ECMO and decrease his settings. It will be so nice to get him off of that. We are continuing to lift up you and Deanna & the girls for continued strength throughout this.
Let us know if we can do anything at all for you. Love you guys.

Love, Nancy Reed

Dear Higgins Family,
1 Cor. 1:9 says "God, who has called you to share everything with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful." God truly is amazing and has been so very faithful in carrying BJ through these difficult days and it is so exciting to see God at work through so many and the faith and strength that is being provided to also carry you and your family. We appreciate you sharing your heart and giving us updates as we check it multiple times a day as we think of you and pray for BJ. We do lift BJ up today and pray that he will continue to heal. Praise the the Lord for his faithfulness!
In His Love,

Father God,
I pray right now for B.J. Lord, You have already carried him through so much. Please continue to be with him and his family. I pray that You would provide the doctors with the solutions to the different complications they are facing right now. I pray that You would give the doctors continued wisdom as they treat B.J. We give You, and You alone all of the honor and glory for what You have accomplished through B.J.'s sickness. You have shown us that prayer is effective, that You are the Sustainer of Life, and that You long to unite Your body as it should be. I am so ashamed that it took a young boy laying in a hospital bed to make us realize that we haven't been living the life You called us to(Matt.28) Father, help us to go out and get our feet dirty for You! From this situation I pray that lives would be changed, people would be reached, and Your kingdom would be furthered! All praise, glory, and honor be for Your great renown! I love You Lord!
In Your precious name,
Amen

When Drs. can't heal,
When friends can't heal,
When family can't heal,
God will heal it in someway,
God will be here through it all,
God will stand next to you & your loved ones through it all where he can give his love & support,
God is always here even when we think that there is not hope or no way,
God will guide the rightous path to the destiny & that is to heal or at least help heal,
He gave his son to us & now he will give his spirit, love & mind to help heal B.J,
God loves everyone & he loves B.J. so much that he will try his hardest to heal & take all of his pain away. I am praying for B.J. & his family.

With all of my Love & Blessings,
Jessica Ray
