BJ has begun bleeding a significant amount from the chest tube which was inserted a couple of days ago. He is bleeding through it and around it. Nurses have begun to administer a new drug to try to clot this. It is uncertain at this time what the cause of this is.

Our God is faithful...please pray for this new hurdle to be cleared quickly so his body can work on healing.

Nurses told me yesterday that when BJ was bleeding before, that he was bleeding out as quickly as they were putting blood in. The thing that confused them was that his stats all remained stable. This made no sense to them and was unusual. We know it is because of the prayers you all have lifted up.

Please help us continue to meet this battle head on with continued beseeching of the Father.

We are so thankful,

BJ's dad

As we have said in the beginning, we say again, our God has all authority. Lord, we know that you give us our very life and breath, and the beating of our heart. I ask that you would sustain BJ's life. You have already shown yourself so compassionate by keeping him with us, now heal his blood, heal his wounds, heal his body. Bring peace and strength into all his parts. Give the doctors and nurses wisdom and perseverance.
Higgins family, we love you and continue to walk through this with you.

BJ is continually in my prayers as well as my thoughts. It amazes me how someone I have never met can be such a constant thought. It goes to show how our God works. Last night I told my husband that when BJ is better and out of the hospital, I would like to go to Indianapolis to meet him. He has inspired me so much. Because of him I have become better at praying and closer to the Lord. Keep believing in the power of prayer. Remember, God knows BJ and everything that has and will happen to him. He doesn't give us more than He knows we can handle. In Christ, Terri Hetfield

Keep resting, Beej, we're still praying for your full recovery, and will pray for the bleeding to stop! We love you lots... Wishing you Sonshine on your day. We love you loads.

Dear Family, please know and take comfort that the Father is more than aware of what BJ is facing moment by moment. Don't let Satan discourage you. Even before BJ started to bleed God the Father, who created BJ was all knowing this was going to happen as there are NO surprises with HIM. He Himself will bring total healing to BJ I believe this with all that is within me. Remember that during childbirth some of the greatest pain come right before the birth. So it will be with BJ. He indeed is facing huge obstacles but if you have the faith of a mustard seed and say mountain...move...it WILL move. So all of us with voices and hearts united, literally thousands of us, claim the healing power of Yahshua. Not simply for BJ alone but so the power and majesty of our God will shine forth. To Him be all power and glory and praise. We stand with you!!! We ARE ONE !! Feel our love and our arms embrace you.
Love Phil and Paula

Abba, Father,
We just plead for healing for BJ. We confidently ask you resolve the bleeding situation. Lord we give you glory and honor for what you have done. I thank you for the impact you are making on the hospital staff. Lord I smile when I hear that the scientific community has no explanation for what is taking place. Perhaps they don't understand that they are treading on holy ground, for where you are is holy. I continue to ask for your graciousness for the rest of the family and dear friends who keep vigil at the hospital. Lord please reveal ways that others can help...can lift some of the burden for this family that loves and trusts you so much.
Father I have confidence in what you are doing in this whole situation. You are greatly to be praised.
In adoration and praise for our exalted Lord. Amen

Tiffany and I are continuing to pray for you, as is my entire family! Even my grandmother is intensely praying for all of you! You are such a blessing to us, thank you for letting us be a part of praying for BJ.
I remember my trip to The Gambia… I kept telling the team, "the crazier it gets, the bigger His story becomes!"
I don't imagine that's really very comforting (I don’t think it was then either), but rest assured that God is working a mighty act through BJ right now.

We love you and we will continue to pray with you and for you.

hey family,
my prayers are still going up each and every moment about my brother and you all. i know that the Lord has all power and glory, and praise Him for that. i am confident that His ultimate glory will be shown through this. Praise Him for that.

Lord God,
with all my heart i come to you know confessing that i know you have all power, but it is so hard sometimes for me to allow You to truly have that, because there are things i want to see on my own. but Lord, You are perfect and pleasing and Your steadfast love endures forever. so i come to You knowing that Your will must be done, and i pray that whatever that is, You will recieve all the glory. God, you know my heart, restore and heal bj, bring him back with the strength of Your Holy Spirit, ready to fight the fight for you again, and praiseing Your Holy name for the work You have done. Father, restore Your son, grant him peace, grant his family peace and faithfulness to stand confidently in You. Love on them today, and restore my brother.
amen

Thank you Father that the stats continue to stay up. I praise you for what you have done for B.J. You alone are worthy to be praised. Thank you that we have your everlasting and unconditional love. We know you are present in B.J.'s room. Please touch his body, keep B.J. strong. I pray for the bleeding to cease. Guide the nurses and drs. in every decision that is made. Father, may Brent, Deanna, Whitney, and Lauren feel your strength, comfort, and love in a mighty way today.
Thank you, Father, for hearing the prayers of your children.

Amen

Continuing to pray.....love you all.

God I just pray that as you continue to allow BJ to go through this time of struggle physically that the influence that he is having on Your kingdom will not stop. Help the doctors to begin to realize the affect of prayer and begin to ask questions. Show the doctors the best treatment for this new bleeding problem. Give BJ's family comfort as they deal with these new hurdles.

Oh Lord Jesus,
I know that you are the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end and nothing is too difficult for you. Lord, I just sit here in my office and my spirit is groaning on behalf of this brother, BJ. Lord, you healed the leppers with just a simple touch and I ask you right now, for BJ's bleeding to subside. Cover him in your blood that gives life. Lord, I just pray for his precious family and their strength and I praise you for their incredible witness at this difficult time. Jesus, we give YOU all the glory and we know that when two or more are gathered in your name, you are there and so I BELIEVE that you can reach through your celestial city and move among us even as we "blog" prayers for BJ. Thank you Jesus for being our beakon of light and our GREAT PHYSICIAN! It's in your name I pray, amen!

Dearest Higgins family,
"I will remember the deeds of the Lord; YES, I will remember Your miracles of long ago. I will mediatate on all your works and consider ALL Your Mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, ARE Holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the people..." Psalm 77:11-15
How refreshing it was for us to worship the King with you on Wednesday night. Praising Him with hearts of thanksgiving and watching God's Love flow in the sancturary was such an encouragement! We were so very grateful for the opportunity to worship with you and continue to pray for BJ and you all.
Every moment of this circumstance has been a miracle and our God continues on with each breath and heartbeat of BJ. We continue to cover you and the hospital staff in a blanket of prayer. God Bless!
With Great Love for you all...Ann, Steve, Kendall, and Kelly Potter

Father God, Thank You that You brought this young man, BJ, into the world and that his heart was drawn to You at an early age. May You be honored that He chose to go to Peru to minister to those in that country who You also love.

Now, Father, he has developed this disease which baffles everyone but You. Only You know the cause and only You know the cure. So I ask You to please give wisdom to the nurses, doctors, pathologists, and all others involved in his care. Give them all the knowledge they need to discern what is best and right for BJ. And most of all, give each of them faith in Your Son, Jesus.

I also ask You to gather BJ's family into Your loving arms. Hold them tightly and let them know they are greatly loved with the "love that passes all understanding" and that it is an "everlasting love".

For BJ, dear Father, please bring a peace and understanding in his spirit that You continue to be with him. In fact, let BJ know this is one of those times You are carrying him. Enable BJ to - consciously or in the spirit - to be able to give himself and his life totally over to You and trust You for his healing.

Father God, I would especially also pray for BJ's mother. As a mother of a 15 year old, I know how hard this must be for her. I simply ask that You would give to her one or more very special people to hold her, sit with her, pray with her, cry with her, laugh with her, and to simiply be Jesus with skin on for her. Just as You gave BJ into her and her husband's care many years ago, now remind her that BJ continues in Your care. Envelope BJ's mother into those strong arms and remind her that "those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength". Please renew BJ's family's strength and faith moment by moment.

And in all of this, may You receive all praise and glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

To BJ's parents:
I will continue to pray for BJ. God's blessings.

Hermanos Queridos ofreco esta pobre traducción a Castellano. Hno. Francisco Lamca Lloyd

Somos tan agradecidos,

El Papi de BJ"

Our Lord and our God…You reign on high. I worship You, I praise You, I fear You. At your thought a universe was created, army’s have been destroyed, walls have crumbled, a world destroyed… Your power is infinite; there is nothing that is not under the command of Your Will. I humbly come before You yet righteous through the blood of Your Son Jesus, lifting up BJ to You knowing that You are full of grace, mercy, and righteousness. Father, please put Your hands of healing on BJ, stop the bleeding, completely cure him in such a way that there will be no bought of Your power. Give BJ’s family Your courage, strength, and fill them with Your peace. Father God, as I look to You for everything and ask nothing for myself, I ask this of You not for me but that You may be glorified through the healing of BJ on this earth as a witness to people that do not know and confess You as King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s….It’s in Your Sons name Jesus that I pray. Amen.

To BJ's Mother, as another mother, I am praying for you:

A mother’s love is something that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion, and of sacrifice and pain

It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may,
For nothing can destroy it, or take that love away…

It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking
And it never fails or falters, even though the heart is breaking…

It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems…

It is far beyond defining; it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation…

A many splendored miracle man cannot understand,
And another wondrous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.

A woman that feareth the Lord shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30)

To BJ's Father, as my husband reads every day and empathizes as another father can:

Last night my little boy confessed to me
Some childish wrong;
And kneeling at my knee,
He prayed with tears---
“Dear God, make me a man
Like daddy---wise and strong;
I know you can.”

Then while he slept
I knelt beside his bed,
Confessed my sins,
And prayed with a low-bowed head:
“Oh, God, make me a child
Like my child here---
Pure, guileless,
Trusting Thee with faith sincere!”

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. Psalm 103:13

Stay strong, knowing that many are praying for you and your family, and knowing that God provides for His children.
