The doctors continue to turn machines down just a little bit at a time, and BJ's lungs are very slowly beginning to work more. They've started to make rattling sounds... a good sign that all filling them is beginning to break up. His stats continue to remain around pretty high levels. We are thankful for this, and the quietness of the day.

Like a broken record, I say it again: We cannot tell you how much your continuing prayers and support mean to us! We have seen and continue to see God working in mighty ways and glorifying Himself through this whole situation!

Please pray for Whitney and I, as she is already in her second week of classes, and I start in a few days. Pray for mom and dad as they spend all days and most nights in the hospital. Please pray for our continued support of each other. We love you!

Love, Lauren

Dear Lauren,
Every time I pray for BJ I pray for you and Whitney and your Mom and Dad too. Your strong faith does not spare you pain. Even though God is in control you still hurt. I pray every day that God will hold each of you very tight and that you will feel him with you. I pray he will give you strength and joy and help you cope day to day. Even though I have a cold and can't bring brownies today, I send each of you a hug through the blog.
Love,
Lisa R.

Todd, Andrew & I are visiting my parents in Santa Claus, IN this weekend, but I wanted to check the blog when we got here. We thought of you often today and prayed for you as we traveled. We are praying for all aspects of BJ's recovery & so are all the members of my parent's church here, Heritage Hills Baptist Church. They've been to the camp several times for different events, so they feel a connection to you all. We want you to know we love you & are praying for you constantly.

I called the Red Cross to find out about giving blood for a patient in another state and it appears that it would be a costly undertaking and would put a strain on the already overburdened system, especially now that they're dealing with the Katrina victims. Also, if it not needed for the particular individual, that donation is destroyed. So, we'll be praying that all the resources BJ needs, will be provided at the right time by the generous donations of people in your immediate vicinity.

We continue to pray for BJ and have this blog set to our homepage, for the time-being, as a constant reminder. My 4-year-old was almost sure he'd seen BJ on TV today! Must have been someone who looks alike... Even the little ones are praying...

"So be strong in the Lord..."

Lauren,

This is your cousin Amanda. I'm Jimmi & Bettye's granddaughter (Cindy's child). We're praying for your brother. My Sunday School class has added him to our list as has my mother and father in -law. Mimi and Pop will be glad to hear that he is starting to improve. With all that has happened over the last week this is great news.

While we are praying constantly for BJ and the whole family, Lauren and Whitney, you might be encouraged to know that you are especially held up to our Lord many times each and every day by Corrie and Ellie! They just seem to naturally care a lot about your welfare, and are very personally concerned about you emotionally, spiritually, physically and educationally. They also often seem to pray for your safe travels to and from school.

Having read the blog comments regularly, I'm sure you know how very many people love you girls and will continue to hold you up in prayer!

You are such a blessing to your parents, to those who know you, and to Our Father in Heaven!

We love you, too.

Lord,
Another day has come to an end. Thak you for watching over BJ today. He is getting stronger and we are thankful for that.
Great is your faithfulness!
I ask that you give BJ a good nights rest. I, also, lift up his family. Tonight I am thinking especially of Deanna. I pray that you help her to completely rest tonight so that she is refreshed in the morning and ready for another day. I know she must be exhausted Lord. Please help her to feel your touch and the prayers of her friends.
We will give you all the glory!!
Amen

Goodmorning to you all... just wanted to let you know that we continue to pray for BJ's full recovery. Lauren, when Nathan and I pray, we always pray for both you and Whitney. I can't imagine how emotionally strenuous it is for both of you to have to go on with "life as normal" when everything around you causes you anxiousness and stress. We are praying that you will feel His presence very closely as you begin your new year and as Whitney continues with her first semester of classes. We love you both loads.
Brent and Deanna, we continue to pray for encouragement and strength as you face the next few days. We give Him all of the praise and glory for what He is doing in BJ's life and in all of the lives that BJ has touched. We love you loads too.
Beej, hang in there, we're still praying. I know your body is going to have to fight in the next few days to get all of the parts working again... we'll keep praying for your strength. We love ya!
Hugs and kisses to you all. We miss you too!

Lauren, thank you and your family for keeping us up to date on BJ. This website is being viewed by many in my church (ZUMC). I brought by the quilted prayer blanket from the prayer ministry and really didn't even know what to say. I can say though that we all continue to hold your family in our prayers and hope that the quilt is bringing some comfort as your family spends their days at the hospital. Sincerely, Dawn McKnight

I wrote last night and am up early this morning praying for all of you. How awesome to know that God has people praying around the clock for each one of you. May you continue to feel His loving arms around you all and may you see Him working as BJ improves today. Just from reading all the comments day after day I have fallen so in love with your family. I look forward to the day we meet in person. Heather was home from HLG for a few hours yesterday and she told me again how much she loves all of you and misses you. BJ has made an incredible impression on her life and challenged her to grow in her faith and walk with the Lord. For this I will be forever grateful to God. God bless you and rest in the shadow of His wings as you are being lifted in prayer continually.

BJ,
