They've turned off the ECMO and BJ is now only being supported by the oscillatin ventilatore to breathe. His stats have dropped significantly, and we are waiting for him to go stable. Please keep praying.

BJ spent 5 weeks on a mission trip in Peru spreading the love of Jesus. A few weeks after returning home he was diagnosed with pneumonia, which quickly turned much more serious and became the lesser concern as an infection throughout his body was discovered. After six weeks of fighting, Beej finally got to go Home to be with Jesus on September 26th, 2005. Thank you for your prayers for BJ, and please continue unifying as God's children as we have seen throughout this God-glorifying situation!!! Dear Lord,
When you sent the Israelites into battle, the odds were usually against them. They were outnumbered and were often fighting against enemies that had superior weapons and military expertise. But you were on the side of the Israelites, and it was you who fought for them. So Lord, I know if it is your will to save BJ, nothing can stand against it. BJ's body is weak compared to the illness that is fighting him, but YOU are strong, and we know you are able to overcome this for your servant. We plead with you Father, to heal BJ, your servant. Stabalize his blood gas and oxygenation levels. Wrap your hands around his lungs, reinforce each airsack with iron, that they will be able to withstand the pressure. Bind the enemy, gag him, gouge out his eyes, that his lies may not touch anyone involved. Speak your truth and your peace into BJ's family, and let them know you now as they have never known you before. I beg this of you Jesus, and have confidence that whatever happens, you are good, and your plan is good, and that BJ is firmly and permantly held under the shelter of your wing.
Father, I pray that you would reveal your spirit to BJ in a very special way right now. Lord, I thank you for the wonderful things that you have accomplished in his life and I pray that through your Holy Spirit you would allow BJ's lungs to function better without the aid of the ECMO. We stand in awe of you and all that you have done and continue to do both in BJ's life and in the lives of the thousands who have been touched by his story. Father, give him Your strength. I also pray for Brent, Deanna, Lauren, and Whitney Father. Give them Your peace that passes all understanding as they stand with BJ and fight with him. Lord, we don't know how you are working in this situation we just know that you are and we praise and thank you for that. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ I pray these things. Amen.
