Update after the below message...the procedure will begin after 2pm...
The pediatric surgeon tried for an hour and a half to get a catheter line in but was unsuccessful. Swelling, and the oscillating ventilator are the reasons. He is now contacting a radiologist who will apparently shoot dye into his veins, then with the help of a fluoroscope will try to locate vessels which could be used. The dye will further damage his already non-functioning kidneys, so they will try to minimize its use. No word on when.
I guess smooth sailing happens another day.
Father, I know you have a plan, please give them wisdom, and a steady hand to be able to work this out, quickly.

Brent & Deanna - Remember that even when things aren't sailing smoothly, Jesus is on the boat during the storms, too. And most of all remember that He is the one who can calm the storms. We are praying hard for BJ and that the doctors will be able to find a vein that can work. We are praying that his kidneys will not suffer from the dye & that they will begin functioning soon.

Father God, please be with BJ today, guide the surgeons hands, and bless them with wisdom and success, all according to Your Will! Please heal BJ's kidneys, help them to start functioning, and protect them from the dye today. Please help them find a vein that is usable. Guide them every moment! We praise Yor for BJ remaining stable in his numbers,and most importantly, for Your Will being done in Your precious servants life. Thank You for taking the swelling down in his eyes. I pray Lord, for a miraculous healing, so that BJ will be well for his precious 16th birthday! Your Will be done, Father, and in Your perfect timing.
