Overnight, BJ spiked a fever that would not respond to medication. It got up to 104 and sat there. A hyperthermia blanket was brought in, and after a while finally broke. His temp is down to 99, and his heart rate which was elevated all day yesterday, is finally down...Thank You Father!

His SAT's held steady for part of the night, but then began to drop, so the Oxygen concentration was increased at the ventilator, and his numbers came back up. It is a constant balancing act and we are grateful for the support he is receiving.

Today is another big day with the canula removal scheduled to happen at his neck site. They are restarting the Cvvh machine also. They are trying a product other than Heprin to try to keep the machine from clotting off this time.

Please pray that his fever remains down, same with his heart rate. That the Cvvh doesn't clot, that his canula removal will work with no complications...bleeding, infection, etc. Also, please pray that he doesn't develop any new complications so that he can work on healing, and maybe be conscious one day soon.

Thank you,

BJ's dad

please leave your name, city, state or country as we are mapping for BJ.

3We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints— 5the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel 6that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth. 7You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[c] behalf, 8and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[d] to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. 13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14in whom we have redemption,[e] the forgiveness of sins.

Praying for you all day today with out ceasing......Your Creator will Himself restore you !! Love Phil & Paula

Dear Father,
This morning we pray for a miracle in room 2001 . . . for the fever to cease, for the heartrate to stay at a normal rate, for umcomplicated removal of the cannula, for the kidneys to begin to show signs of working, for swelling to begin to go down. You have been continually working miracles in and through this entire situation . . . hundreds, no thousands, of people all around the world have been blessed and encouraged by all you are doing . . . for the fact that you sent them to the right hospital, for the amazing Doctors that you have guided, for the incredible nurses that must sit for hours at a time and make adjustments, and monitor the progress, for the Sisters of St. Vincents that are offering incredible love and support, for the church that has rallied around this dear family with love, prayer and financial support, for the family . . . the parents who are no doubt emotionally and physically exhausted, yet keeping their faith in You strong as they watch Your will unfold, for the siblings, these precious sisters, who are trusting in You in the midst of the scariest time of their lives, and for BJ - who is utterly resting in You right now, as you work in His body. There will be much to tell him when he wakes up, and it will all be about You . . . about what You have done in and through His life. And that, Dear Father, is the Miracle . . . that Your glory be revealed . . . because Lord, it is all about You!! Our Lives are all about YOU!!! Continue to make Room 2001 be a shining light at that hospital - that all who enter there to care for BJ, feel your presense ever so strongly, that they too come to know the God of BJ, the sustainer of life, the giver of Life Eternal. Thank You Father for today, Thank You for what You are going to do today.
In Your precious Name, because there is none other!!! Amen.

Lord God, I echo the prayers of others...that today just like the past days, you will be glorified by the miraculous deeds you are doing. We do ask that you allow BJ's temperature to remain where it should be, that his heart rate be normal. We ask you to control the clotting and when it is time to do the canula removal that all will go well. We ask you Father to not allow any complications. We pray as the family does that BJ can begin a recovery process. Lord there are so many intricate details that most of us don't understand, but we do understand that You are the Almighty God, Maker of Heaven and Earth and our Creator and Designer. I take rest in knowing that you will care for your loving, young servant BJ. Please continue to provide rest and assurance to Brent and Deanna at the hospital and with Lauren and Whitney at school. We continue to heap our praise upon You, for You are worthy.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Brent: Thank you so much for these details. I write down exactly the way you ask us to pray. I certainly don't understand all the details, but it is helpful and makes me feel even more a part of this journey.

I praise you Father for bringing BJ's temperature down and for bringing his heartrate back to normal. Please be with him today as the canula from his neck is removed. Please don't let there be any complications while they remove it and afterwards. Please do not let the Cvvh machine clot when they restart it today. Help BJ respond well the the new product that they are using instead of Heprin. Keep his heart rate and his fever down. Please just let BJ begin to heal instead of fight new things so that he can be concious soon.

Today, we are praying for BJ's body to handle all these transitions well. We pray that his fever will become normal and that everything will go smoothly. Lord Jesus,
I just humbly come to you with a heart so full of concern for this brother of mine. Lord Jesus, you have brought him so far and we give you ALL the glory and honor and praise. Please, Lord, may today be full of your wonders and miracles. Jesus, I ask that BJ's fever stays down, that the procedures today would be piloted by you because you do everything perfect, and that there would be no more complications. Jesus, we ask that you bind the enemy from that hospital room and that you send a legion of angels to guard and protect BJ. We know that the enemy views him as such a threat, and rightfully so because he belongs to you and is furthering your kingdom. In the name of Jesus and claiming the stripes you bore for us, we tell the enemy to scat. Our God is much bigger than that. Show us your glory. Amen

Just wanted you to know....Yesterday after Church, we had gone to eat. The Girls were wearing their PrayforBJ.Com shirts. A girl immediately got up from her table, as we began to sit down and asked us if we went to Mooresville First Baptist. She said they knew BJ and had heard about the shirts, but had not seen them. I don't know who she was, but it was exciting to "meet" someone that knew BJ or knew of BJ. The WORD is out!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I have been constantly praying for BJ. I woke last night and began praying for him and I drifted off to sleep still praying. As I slept I dreamed of B.J., this is significant to me because I don't dream very often. In the dream I saw B.J up and well. He was walking behind his father; slowly but walking whole and healthy. I remember the joy I felt in seeing him recovered. Then the dream shifted and I was walking in the hospital looking for B.J.'s room. I was there to visit him with two of my children and as I walked through the corridors seemingly lost, two doctors or members of the staff offered to show me where his room was. Taking me down an isolated corridor, we entered a room where they immediately became demons. Calling upon the name of Jesus they couldn't touch us but they said that others(demons) were being released. Eventually they evaporated and I remember finding B.J.'s room and seeing him lying in his bed still unconscious. Shaking off the dream after I awoke, I began to ask God how to pray for B.J. and I heard the Spirit of the Lord say come against the spirit of witchcraft and curses.

Please pray with me, binding any curses or spirits that have come against him.

Father,
I know that at the name of Jesus every Knee must bow and every tongue must confess Jesus Christ is Lord whether in the heavens, or on the earth or under the earth. Your word also says that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven; so Father we bind in the Name of Jesus any and all evil spirits that have come against B.J. and his family. We declare that they have been defeated and their plans have been confounded. We thank you that we have victory in Jesus for we are More than conquerors through him who loves us. Thank you for authority in this situation and we declare health to every cell in B.J.'s body. You are the Master Physician; Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. Thank you for your word which declares that By His stripes we are healed and by faith we receive this for B.J. Father, we thank you and praise you for your goodness and mercy. Your love is light and in You there is No darkness at all. So we ask that you would pour out that light around B.J. completely destroying any darkness surrounding him and lift him up and restore him through the Light of your love. For You have said that No weapons formed against us shall prosper. We love you and Bless your Holy Name.

Brent, Deanna, Whitney, and Lauren
You are constantly in our thoughts. We love you.

Your sister in Christ

Translation of Pastor Tito's blog from Sunday night at 10:06:

We glorify God for this day, because God is in control of everything. In the 2 church services we have glorified God, and we have asked that the work He will do in BJ will be agreeable (good)and perfect. Many blessings, and we are praying that this night BJ's body will strengthen and tomorrow he will have a new dawn in the power of our God. Many blessings, and may God give you rest tonight.

To BJ's family - I wanted to let you know our church is praying for BJ constantly. Thank you for being an encouragement to all of us. I am praying from this scripture. Philippians 2:25-30 says "But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need; because he was longing for you all and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick. For indeed he was sick to the point of death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly in order that when you see him again you may rejoice and I may be less concerned about you. Therefore receive him in the Lord with all joy, and hold men like him in high regard; because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was deficient in your service to me.

Father, bless this young Epaphroditus, strong soldier and fellow worker. For indeed, he is sick to the point of death. I pray that You would have mercy on BJ, and not only on him, but also on all those who love him, lest they should have sorrow upon sorrow. After you have healed him, may he be received with all joy and may he be held in high regard as an example to the world, because he risked his life for the work of Christ. Thank you for what You are doing and what You will continue to do for BJ and his family. Amen

BJ is not the only one that God is using - I know it is hard to watch your son or brother go through this, but you have inspired and encouraged so many through your faithfulness in how you are handling this and your yeilding to God's Grace and ultimate control during this tough time. I wanted to let you know that the nelson family in Zionsville is praying for BJ. I was told about your family this weekend. You see, we were just one floor above you all weekend, at St. Vincent's with our son Josiah. His is 6 and was diagnosed with leukemia in May. Your son sounds like a mighty warrior for Christ. We will battle with you for his life, as so many are battling with us. It is such comfort to know that we have a high priest, our Savior Jesus, and that we have the body to come along side us and fight!! I know that you would agree with us that in the midst of some of the darkest moments of your lives, you are learning alot about the sufficiency of grace. We are standing with you. I would love to come and pray with you at the hospital if that would ever be ok. In Jesus' most powerful love, Susan Nelson Our email:nelson_home@sbcglobal.net
