My favorite Dr. came in a couple of minutes ago and said, "he's doing pretty well."
That was a blessing to us. Yes we know there are all sorts of issues ahead, and that things aren't perfect, but to have the ECMO Dr. tell you that, and that the complications he's experiencing are expected, is a real blessing! It will help us rest a little easier tonight!

I lift up Praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for the legion of brothers and sisters here and around the world who are holding us up. Truly, the peace of Christ passes all understanding.

There are several sisters in Christ who are wearing nurse uniforms at St. Vincent's Hospital who have overwhelmed us with the Lord's love, support, and encouragement. They laugh with us, cry with us, and check on us to make sure we are coping. It is no accident that they are here. They are true to their calling, their ministry. It is no coincidence that we are here. Isn't God AMAZING?! Jesus is so cool!

g'night,

beej's dad

St. Vincent's is a wonderful hospital! An old youth leader or mine's husband works there and he wouldn't if it weren't a really cool hospital. :) Jesus is amazing, cool, and everything else wonderful. Thank you Lord for the improvements in BJ.

God I pray that tonight you will continue to heal BJ's body. I pray that the heart rate will return to normal and that the kidneys will begin to function again. Guide the surgeons' hands as they fix the veins because with your guidance we know the chances are no longer 50% but instead 100% of them working properly again. Continue to comfort his family.

Brent & Deanna,

Yes, Jesus is cool! And amazing and any other adjective you can think of! Just wanted to check on BJ one last time tonight before starting my homeschooling tasks. I really pray that you and Deanna can rest well tonight, you certainly deserve it! Will keep praying that BJ stays stable, gains strength, and things start to normalize in his body. I am glad you have a good support system there with the nurses. That's why most nurses go into the profession, they have a servant's heart, I should know! Have a quiet and restful evening. God Bless!

Love, Nancy

My name is Lauren Brown, and I live in Chapel Hill, NC. Erin Freemyer, who went to Peru with BJ, told me about him. I have found great encouragement in your family's faith even in the midst of such a difficult trial. Many people are interceding on your behalf, and I am one of them. I continue to hope for BJ's recovery. May God continue to give you peace, comfort, and strength.

I just wrote, sorry I forgot to say I'm from San Diego, CA - I'd love to see the results of your mapping efforts one of these days.

I had sunstroke and heatstroke when I was a Freshman in HS while preparing for a missions trip. The Drs. said I would have nerve damage, brain damage or die, but God COMPLETELY healed me! I wasn't suppose to be able to have children and I just had my second this last July. I am 30 and doing very well. There is hope for BJ! I will continue to pray!!! I just wrote him in my prayer notebook! He is first on this page! - Nicole, San Diego, CA
