BJ had a restful night. We are so greatful! The medical staff continue to challenge his body to begin working, and this seems to be going pretty well. They found yeast in his system, and have started a new medication to combat that. They indicated a fungus at this point would be very bad. The internal bleeding seems to have stopped...we Praise the Lord for this!!!

Please pray that there is no further bleeding, infection, or fungi (yes, BJ is a "fun guy") to contend with as his body tries to heal.

Have a great worship service!!! Praise Him with all you are!!!

Praise God that the bleeding has stopped! I'm still praying for the hindrances that could occur and that God will just have his hand on BJ and keep those hindrances away from him so that his body can heal. You are loved and prayed for Beej!

Praise Jesus! Hi Higgins Family. We have been on vacation but I have been able to keep up on BJ's progress through the website. We continue to lift you up everyday. This is Sunday and we will be attending our own church today. We will again ask for prayer for BJ. Our hearts are in constant prayer for you. Work is not the same without you Brent, and the presence of your family. I miss all your faces. Keep smiling, "God is good all the time." Love & miss you all.

Hi guys. Yesterday we spent time driving to the desert for a family gathering and we listened to a Worship CD (not sure which one it was) but every song was so appropriate with what God is doing in BJ's life. One lyric that comes to mind is "let the glory of the Lord rise among us" and God is using BJ and your family in a mighty way. This "trial" that you guys are going through is a strenghtening in our relationship with God as well and it's always good to see how He answers our prayers. Our kids ask about BJ everyday and we share with our church (who have been praying) the little miracles so far in BJ's recovery. Thank you for sharing with us and know that we will not stop praying!

Love,
Joel & Christal Mearig
